Man, Orioles down 6-0 in the second. If this holds the AL East will have gone 0-7 in the 2023 post-season. I didn't see that coming. Too many blowouts in this postseason. |

Please baseball gods. Anyone but the Trashtros again. They're beatable. But unlike the at least equally-talented Dodgers, they seem to up their game in the post-season. Or at least play at their regular season level. “Beat The Drum Loudly”. I wonder what scam they’re running this season. Maybe that little dwarf 2B is making them special cookies in his hollow tree… |

Rangers have gotten in these playoffs what they thought they would when they brought in the big free agents, and they've out pitched the Orioles, which was expected to be their weakness when the season started. Eovaldi has become a veteran who rises to the occasion in big games. |

Nice regular season but their rotation isn't built for the post season and once Bautista went down, they lost their bullpen advantage. |

I’m enjoying the closure and lack of angst this year. I still want us to win next year, but what happened in 2023 is in the past. I’m spending more time in the beautiful outdoors… |

What's that phrase about poking the bear? Nice work Arcia. In the last two seasons against Atlanta in the post-season, Harper is now 13-27 in seven games, with five home runs and 10 RBIs. I don't think he's the type of player who needs motivation, but if he did the Braves provided it. |

The Dodgers have now lost three consecutive post-season series to teams who had at least 15 fewer regular season wins. Their three starting pitchers against Arizona allowed 13 runs in 4 1/3 innings.
If I were a Dodgers fan I would be livid. But fortunately the Yankees are able to provide my lividity quotient.
I think Dave Roberts has many of the same traits as Aaron Boone. Nice guy, the players like him, removes his starting pitchers as early as possible (although in this series his hand was forced), gives canned party-line answers to the media. He doesn't seem to have Boone's entertainment value arguing with umpires.
Although at least he managed one ring, albeit in the short season.
