They're going to their 7th straight ALCS yet Cashman calls the playoffs a crapshoot. That’s because we always seem to play like crap in them. I’m enjoying the closure and lack of angst this year. I still want us to win next year, but what happened in 2023 is in the past. I’m spending more time in the beautiful outdoors… That's great to hear, get as much as the outdoors while you can!

The Dodgers have now lost three consecutive post-season series to teams who had at least 15 fewer regular season wins. Their three starting pitchers against Arizona allowed 13 runs in 4 1/3 innings. If I were a Dodgers fan I would be livid. But fortunately the Yankees are able to provide my lividity quotient. I think Dave Roberts has many of the same traits as Aaron Boone. Nice guy, the players like him, removes his starting pitchers as early as possible (although in this series his hand was forced), gives canned party-line answers to the media. He doesn't seem to have Boone's entertainment value arguing with umpires. Although at least he managed one ring, albeit in the short season. LA thought Mattingly was the problem.

The former residents here had “landscaped” by putting standard blue gravel in front of the house, and I hated it. It was full of weeds which I spent hours pulling up by hand. So I’m not raking that up, shoveling in into a wheelbarrow and dumping it in my driveway. Then I load up the wheelbarrow with red lava rock I had delivered months ago and dumping that in the place where the gravel once was. After hats done I’ll distribute my rock collection, some of which I can only move with my hand cart. Hardscaping is something I enjoy. I likely won’t get done before spring, but I intend to pick at this in my free time until I get it done… Part of being a country boy…

I was going to just put the red lava rock over top of the blue gravel, but the driveway needs more gravel in some places. Why not move what’s already there? No sense spending more money…

No sense spending more money… Can you get some white gravel and make an American flag? I intend to utilize an old milk can by putting it in a prone position with with marble chips spilling out… Texhnically I could do a flag, but both the red and blue shades are “off”. I don’t want to paint rocks… 😂 I’m also thinking of ideas using colored aquarium gravel on a limited basis. We’re severely limited in what forms of plant life we can establish in this climate, but I always chase that challenge wherever we go. There is an aquarium gravel manufacturing plant with in about 45 minutes or so. I that particular town many of the residents use aquarium gravel in their driveways. I want to go there and see them for spits and giggles… 🤓 The largest, if not the only, aquarium gravel manufacturer in the country… San Acacio, Colorado. estesco.com/contact/You can even become a dealer…

No team in either LCS has more than 90 wins. Should have just let everybody play. Imagine KC or Oakland winning it all… 😂

No team in either LCS has more than 90 wins. Strange, 3 of the 4 teams have identical 90-72 regular season records.

Hey Kaybli, yeah, it won't be anything like if the Yankees were playing, but within the confines of the NL I pull for the Phillies, if only to have fans around here talking about something other than the damned Eagles, who I never pull for under any conditions. I can't watch a sporting event without at least mildly rooting for someone. Or just as often against someone. If I didn't have any interest, I just wouldn't watch at all. Up until interleague play I always rooted for the AL team in the World Series. Even Boston when they played the Mets. Of course there wasn't the level of hate for Boston back then, at least not for me. That didn't really kick in until 2004, and now it's in my DNA. Interleague play plus free agency plus general deterioration of the give-a-damn meter has watered down league loyalty. But when I was growing up, there were definitely American League people and National League people, and the All Star Game was a very big deal. How about you? Any rooting interest other than anyone but the Astros? Which is legitimate enough IMO.

The last time I liked the Eagles it was because I liked to watch Randall Cunningham…That’s been a minute or two ago…

It just boils my blood that we didn’t sign Harper when we had the chance. Another great move by, as rizz likes to call him, Cashman Magoo.
