Surely, when all aspects are summed, the trade value of Frazier was only enhanced by this extended period at the ML level...GM's who might have been concerned about his post-concussion play could see that he has a ML bat...a world-class bat speed bat....I don't think his defense would give another team more than momentary pause, nor his competitive makeup that has surfaced...…...It should be clear to other teams that the Yankees simply have an abundance of riches with the return of Stanton and Judge, and that Frazier was only sent down because he had that option, and this is a business....this young man is not chopped liver, so to speak...he will play well somewhere...

I guess it was youth, but I don't understand Frazier's surprise. With Judge, Stanton and now the player who's name I will take a month to spell on the team where did he think he would end up. When he heard of the trade he should have started looking for where he was going to stay in the minors. The math is pretty basic. His surprise was being sent down while Tauchman stays up but that is a sign of immaturity. He responded as though it was a statement or judgment on his value. When he said that he was surprised that wasn’t so bad. When he added the part about because of the contribution he had made to the team, that was a bit bush. Had he softened that by saying something like, “but I have to keep in mind how good this team is, so I accept this as just another step in my development, he could have reigned it back in...But that’s the difference in being right and wrong... |

he is pretty young. So his comments don't really shock me. Male morale is really vulnerable at that stage. Later, when you are older, you can live with being a failure...

I agree Utah. I would have sent maybin to the minors. He can’t be sent to the minors because of his MLB service time, unless you want to risk losing him, which we surely would... |

I would take the risk. Then make them pay us to take him back.
Can we DFA Ellsbury. I am thinking the chances of anyone taking him are slim.
