Frazier clears his instagram but two posts and unfollows all his teammates except two after being sent down:
Clint Frazier was optioned to Triple-A Scranton-Wilkes Barre Sunday evening to make way for Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge and the newly acquired Edwin Encarnacion. How did Clint take the news? According to 12up, he cleared out all but two of his Instagram posts and unfollowed all of his teammates except for Didi Gregorious and Tyler Wade.
Real mature, Clint, real mature. [img src="//storage.proboards.com/6828121/images/MGJDDHsrMXMaKUaTXDWm.gif" class="smile" alt=" "] In what way did Frazier think that was a good idea? I believe he’s convinced his Yankee days are over, or is making a strong statement that he wants them to be over. There would appear to be some emotional deficits for him to deal with. Perhaps this will be the point where he realizes he must address his narcissism and move toward growing into an adult. Some never achieve that (I didn’t) and some do so because of a turning point in life (actually my turning point was the birth of my handicapped child)...

Utah, I had a sibling that was born several years before me that passed away at 23 hours. I know my mother carried that sadness with her along with many others her entire life.
The birth of my physically handicapped son was definitely a turning point in life. A young couple, first baby. Anticipation. Then the joy is still there, but it’s muted by the realization that you will never know “normalcy” again.
Michael was born with Spina-Bifida. Back then it was commonly known as “open spine”. The odd thing is that my ex-wife had said several times as childbirth approached that she hoped her baby wasn’t born with open spine. I would suppose that to be because she had a cousin whose baby was born with Spina Bifida some half dozen years earlier. But it was like she knew.
She smoked back then, and being two years older than I she was the first to want a baby. I negotiated that if she quit smoking I was ready. Sadly, she lied to me, and continued to smoke when I was not with her. I caught her once, and she lied that “it was just one”. Perhaps that prompted her to wonder if she was harming the baby. We’ll never know, I suppose...

It is still tough on my mom, understandably.

Losing a child though was different....seeing his struggles to breathe can still haunt me dreams today...Jack and Jacqueline Kennedy lost a newborn son to the same problem....I am told that medical condition is not an issue at all any more...*sigh*

I’ve sometimes had dreams where my son could walk, and had no apparent difficulty doing so. Healthy, playing in the yard. It seemed very natural and normal.
I recall once when he was invited to a birthday party, he was about 5 or 6 years old. We arrived at a time when the mother of his friend was out of the room and placed him at one of the settings at the table on a regular chair.
The next day that child’s mother stated to a mutual acquaintance how sorry she was that the little handicapped boy didn’t make it to the party. Without the wheelchair there was no stigma...

So sorry for the hardships you guys have gone through. Hugs for everyone! We have to stick together on this forum. You learn that you can adapt. You take the medicine and move forward, knowing it’s made you stronger, and you use that strength so many times. Even the heaviness in your heart makes you able to withstand other things you’ll face in the future. All lives are touched by tragedy. It’s how we handle them that becomes our brand. Some folks turn to alcohol or drugs. I had no choice but to take life raw as a child, and that was not fun. I take an anti-depressant medication now, and have since my young adulthood. The medicine has been changed a few times, and I was able to get off the stuff once. I’m thankful that help is available and legal. If life gets tough, don’t be ashamed to see your doctor...

Absolutely. There's no shame in taking medication. I've been on my bipolar drugs for years now and though they've made me fat ( ), they've kept me stable as well.

I’m not a fan of marijuana. I was pretty neutral about it when I moved here, though I have no desire to use it.
Pueblo had a plan, but they have poor planners. They anticipated that they would be the single most inviting and accommodating city and county in the state to replace the dead steel industry and increase the tax base. The political promises were that the infrastructure would be improved because of the additional tax base.
Several problems arise when relying on marijuana for such. It’s against federal law, therefore the business is done strictly in cash. No banks. No way to track the real amount of money being made by the less scrupulous growers. Even though the tax base has indeed grown, the number of indigents that have entered the area to be able to legally buy marijuana has put more beggars at the red lights, and more people in line for services at the government installations. The money is mostly a wash at this point.
They also did not have the foresight to designate particular areas for grows nor for dispensaries, so you can be at a toy store and have a dispensary two doors down, or a residential neighborhood and catch the smell of a legal grow a few miles a way when the wind blows just so.
I understand that Nevada has designated areas that can be used fotmr anything to do with the product, which keeps the odor, the “riff-raff” and to a degree the intoxicated driving away from the cities and towns, unless you go to the more rural area that has been set aside.
I don’t care for another reason for people to drive intoxicated, especially one without a proper toxicity test. I don’t like pulling up to a red light and seeing smoke billowing out the windows of the car next to me and the odor emanating out the window into mine. And my scruples are not such that I would wish to be associated with a product like that.
It’s truly not easy money, either. The cost of a proper and efficient set up, accompanied by the risk and the expertise required are not in my wheelhouse. I actually admire the courage some of the growers have shown to put their necks on the line. Any operation of size is generally backed by an investor with no knowledge of the business, but full power in the financial respects. Most growers have the expertise of many years of growing the product illegally, but little money due to lifestyle. They often have criminal histories.
If that’s more than you wanted to know, that’s what you get for asking... 🤪

Yankees’ Aaron Boone responds to Clint Frazier not yet reporting to Triple-A
Outfielder Mike Tauchman was farmed out by the Yankees after Monday night’s win at Yankee Stadium, then was in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s lineup Tuesday night and hit a first-inning homer.
All of that was very notable because outfielder Clint Frazier was optioned after the Yankees’ win in Chicago on Sunday and as of Tuesday night he hadn’t reported to his Triple-A club.
Frazier hasn’t broken any rules because players have 72 hours to report following an option, but this certainly appears to be a message that the young outfielder is angry and/or frustrated about losing his roster spot with the Yankees despite putting up very good offensive stats. It also could mean that Frazier figures the rumors are true that he’s now a trade chip.
Following the Yankees’ 6-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night, NJ Advance Media after manager Aaron Boone if he’s disappointed that Frazier had yet to report to Triple-A.
“I’m confident he’ll report and get going,” Boone said as he was returning to his office following his post-game news conference. “It’s a tough time to go through.”

He probably needs a mental health day or two, and he is taking advantage of the travel window to report; however, it’s probably not a good look that Tauchman was sent down a day later and already hit a home run in his return to AAA. I wonder how the teammates at AAA feel about the delay?

Since Frazier is within the rules I would think everyone should be fine with it. It does take time to sever ties with certain situations when you relocate, whether they would be family, friends, or business.
Tauchman is likely more concerned with his career since he hasn’t built as much of a resume. Besides, Frazier probably thinks he’s being traded away from that team and will never have to deal with fallout from his actions. He’s wrong, of course. Life doesn’t generally work that way. Baseball is a nomadic business...
