A three run jack tonight for Frazier. He just needs to wait for his turn. I don't expect the Yankees to make an offer to Gardner this winter, does anyone expect that? Frazier could be moved in a trade this winter, but otherwise, he seems to have a roster spot with the Yanks next season.... RF Judge CF Hicks LF Stanton/Frazier? DH Encarnacion? Frazier? Stanton? Where does Tauchman fit in?
It depends if they pickup Encarnacion's option for 20 million next year (5 mill buyout). I bet they won't pick it up unless he has an absolutely monster rest of the year.

I think Gardner could be non-tendered, but still wind up signed as a spare part for the OF. 5th OF...Our next guard of OF is still a year plus away from helping the MLB squad,

But I really think the OF's will Judge, Hicks, Stanton, Frazier and Tauchman, with injuries and days off, they all will get playing time. I guess the bigger question is will Edwin be back?

I doubt we’ll see Encarnacion. I don’t think there are any long-term plans there...Looking at the roster going forward, I expect to see Andujar getting some trial time at 1B <shudder> and needing DH time...Lots Of DH time. The work at first perhaps to give Luke a day off...

I forgot about Andujar, he needs a spot too. The Yankees have the depth to make a trade this off season to improve the rotation, they could use another arm.

I would say it would be smart to move an infielder. Most likely to go? Andujar doesn’t field well. (But he can rake, young and cheap) Didi is the oldest (though the LH bat is nice). Urshela could be an oversell candidate (but he’s good... and cheap)... Torres. Better get a monster back for that one. DJLM. League MVPs have been traded before...(At least I think so)...

Next year, we will be looking at a rotation of
Severino Tanaka German Montgomery Happ
Deivi Garcia may push himself into the mix if he adapts effectively to the new ball at AAA or if there is an injury. Another option may be free agency, as Garrett Cole will be garnering a healthy contract. But, active albatross contracts like Ellsbury and Stanton could scare away Cashman/Steinbrenner same as last season; however, my hope is that they see Cole as a real difference maker in the way Corbin is not.
Cole Severino Tanaka German Montgomery/Happ
This is what a Yankee rotation should look like. Cole becomes the young version of CC Sabathia, except able to cover first on bunts.

He says they didn’t trade him for those pitchers, which is true. They also didn’t trade him for you, or Mickey Mouse or George Washington. Because they didn’t trade him. He doesn’t quote a named reliable source with credible reporting that the Yankees could have traded Frazier for any of those pitchers and refused to do so. In fact there’s no actual reporting here attributed to any named source. This is not journalism.

That is NOT what the article stated. It reported the Yankees would not move him IN TRADE PACKAGES for Stroman, Bauer, and Ray. We already know that some teams asked for Frazier and three to four other prospects, including Deivi Garcia. What the article did state was that the Mets had no interest in Frazier for Syndergaard. It’s not cool that you misrepresent things, Russ.
