My Bad. the Question should read What was Yankees Pitcher Spud Chandler's real name. Murray Pringle is correct for the another question. Spurgeon. My former and late brother in law used to work with a guy named Spurgeon. Don’t hear that one very often…

OF - Daryl Boston, 1994. Longtime White Sox OF, also had stops in Colorado and with the Mets before wrapping up his career in underwhelming fashion with the Yankees in 1994.

My former and late brother in law used to work with a guy named Spurgeon. Don’t hear that one very often… Perhaps he was named after the "Prince of Preachers" Charles H. Spurgeon. A hero of mine!!! “If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to Hell over our dead bodies. And if they perish, let them perish with our arms wrapped about their knees, imploring them to stay. If Hell must be filled, let it be filled in the teeth of our exertions, and let not one go unwarned and unprayed for.”
― Charles Spurgeon

What was Yankees Starter Spud Murray's full name? Murray Pringle? Spud? Pringle? I don't know much about them. But when the "chips" were on the line, Rick Wise was a pretty good pitcher.

Soon we are going to run into Eflin and the horse he rode in on.

RF - Austin Kearns, 2010. One time Reds uber-prospect carved out a serviceable MLB career in Cincy and Washington before landing with the Indians in 2010. The Yankees sent righty Zach McCallister to Cleveland for Kearns, who would have an underwhelming 36 game tenure in the Bronx (.235/.345/.324/.669).

SS - Rafael Santana, 1988. Mets SS in their '86 WS season, and 1984-87 total, came over to the good guys in a rare cross-town trade. Underwhelmed in 1988, then missed 1989 with an elbow injury and was released.

Has anybody mentioned Ruben Amaro? … Came to NY IN ‘66 and almost immediately broke his leg in a game… As a young boy I thought that injury had a much bigger impact on the team than its reality…
