Well, we’ve gone from fighting over the subject matter to fighting over fighting. I hope it’s productive… <sarcasm intended>…
That sarcasm is justified. I can't speak for others, but I apologize if my part in the non baseball posts if they annoyed you and any of the other nice people that welcomed me here.
As Chiyankee said, for the most part I try to just ignore what is a bit outside the box. Sometimes when it’s pure head hunting it’s not fun. I’ve been in message boards since 1992 or 1993, not sure which. I’ve see ‘em come and go. I like a zinger or two here and there, and I know how to use em too. It’s a bit like cussing. I know all the words and I’ve used every one of them in a meaningful sentence more than once. Yet it’s fun to find another way to express yourself…

Of course you didnt answer my question since as of a list mlb released a few days ago , is he isnt a a top 10 2b Evidently you're not capable of understanding the answers which have been given to every question you've asked, repeatedly, over the course of this thread. Whatever your problem is...reading comprehension...low IQ...???...I dunno...but I can't help you with whatever your problem is. Says the one who only uses torres’ bat i defense of how good a 2b he is when its more than just the offense that makes a great 2b . Meanwhile I provided the most up to date list made by mlb that shows torres is NOT a top ten 2b right now . And somehow i am not the one who understands .

I have seen the down fall of message boards because only a sekect few have control of it .

Sarcasm is sarcasm , you cant pick and choose what kind of sarcasm you can use and who it can be used with or it kills a message board .

In the end of my working days I started my own small business so I wouldn’t want to beat the hell out of an employer. Put the other places behind you. This place has been different up until now. There’s a lot of freedom for all and believe it or not I believe we can all be friends. This just happens to be a case where a stray cat got in the sandbox and nobody wants to take credit for what he did in there…

I will warn everyone not to take Kaybli’s easy going ways for weakness. He stretches a long way, but he loves this place (which he started) and he won’t let it break…

Another one fails to understand physics. If a SS can throw a ball 86.5 MPH, using the top 5% of his throws by velocity (ie the plays where he needs to throw the ball hard) how the hell can you tell me that the same player is physically incapable of throwing the same ball 86.5 mph under the same circumstances but from a shorter distance ??????? He aged and lost his arm. Why else is he at the bottom of the heap amongst 2b? Why do most of the others average around 85 MPH? How can Kim average 90 from 2b? How can Gunnar average 91.4? How can Peraza average 89? Why is Gleyber only mustering 75 MPH at the same position / in the same situations? My gueess is that Gleyber is overly cautious about maintaining accuracy. While playing SS he did make a lot of errant throws and with the situation as 1st that year it got to be a singificant issue. Gleyber does not have the feet of a dancer and that can lead to issues both with transfers and throws. It is possible that he'd find the footwork at 3rd easier...or maybe he won't. I've said 100 times I'd leave him alone but the issue with Gleyber ain't the arm...it is the feet. Of course, I am not an expert and maybe I am wrong. This is just my opinion and no one ever wanted to pay me for that.

In otherwords learn to agree to disagree and move on Those sort of things start with a single person. Are you the one willing to start it? If not maybe someone else will, but who? I mentioned when you guys started having one of your first arguments that it’s okay to disengage with particular posters if you’re irritated. It’s a shame when that happens, but I’ve seen cases where it made a big difference. It’s all up to you guys. It had to do with working on social skills and controlling your emotions. I always say that at this stage of life (I just turned 70) I try to mind only the things that are inside my circle ⭕️ of influence, the things I can control. Obviously I’m not always doing that. 🤓

Some of my best friends were adversaries when we first met. Some of my worst enemies pretended to be friendly at first. That’s just life…

I will warn everyone not to take Kaybli’s easy going ways for weakness. He stretches a long way, but he loves this place (which he started) and he won’t let it break… I've read every post and in my opinion the elongated disagreements I've seen have been mostly relegated to this thread. Most of it was argument on the subject matter and did not violate any rules. There was some mild name calling which should stop. I would recommend if a poster is getting on your nerves, the block function is available or just ignoring them is always an option. Sure there was a lot of but that's not anything particularly egregious. Just disengage or don't read if it bothers you.
This community has long been a small circle who hardly ever got upset with each other (we've had some exceptions in the past), but opening it up to many new members, it is inevitable to have more clash of personalities. I just ask for everyone to remember there are real people behind the keyboards and to remain kind and civil. We're all Yankees fans here to have a good time discussing our favorite team. So don't take it too serious, let things go, and let's continue to keep this the friendliest Yankee message board around!
