Amusing tale. I had plans to take Ruthie out to dinner today, figuring we’d eat early before all the workaday folks got home, maybe 3:30-4:00.
I know she loves to sleep in, so task #1 would be to make sure she arose in plenty of time.
Another issue to deal with of course was my insomnia. Since I didn’t get to sleep until just after sunrise this morning, neither of us even stirred until 2:30. I finally crawled out into the living room about 3:15 to find her eating a sweet roll for breakfast.
I guess maybe we’ll go out tomorrow. Maybe. We’ll see.
Neither of us is upset by this. It’s just life.
I hope all of you have a good one, whatever that takes…

Few things more irritating and embarrassing than a New York style pizza snob. I completely agree. While I prefer the thin style pie we have in NJ and NY, I don't knock our friends in the Midwest and Sicily, who are fans of really thick bread and sauce. |

Born in the Bronx; grew up on NY style pizza, which I love. But there are different styles of pizza in cities across the country...many delicious. One doesn't have to be "better" than another. |

When I was selling propane in MD I made a sale to a guy that owned a deli. In time we became friends. He was an unusual fellow in that he carried near to 500 pounds on his 6’ frame. I recalled the first time that I ordered a sandwich at his shop and asked for a small. He laughed and said, “We don’t do anything small here. One size, and that’s large.” Okay. I couldn’t finish the sub I got for lunch. In fact, my then wife ate some of it and I ate the rest. One day he offered to make us a pizza at no charge. When I took the box from him I was stunned at the weight. It was a meat lovers pizza, which I took home for dinner that night. Neither of us could eat more than one slice at a time and I’m ashamed to say we couldn’t finish it. I think two slices went to waste. He was also the guy I got a used deli case from at a later date to house my N scale railroad set (I was separated then, so I put it in the kitchen)… |

Hence why i said “ you people” . That is how is saw the blocked post since i dont think you can block posts if they are quoted by someone else . But since you seemed to take umbrage with what i said then maybe “ you people “ could pertain to you . |
