In some ways, it's more maddening that they do not know what the problem is, which means more time wasted trying to find the cause of his elbow problems. The more time off, the less of a chance he can be stretched out again in a timely fashion if it is nothing, or if it is structural the longer they linger and turn one wasted season encroaching into two. Did the YES broadcast elaborate on this? I wonder if it's inflammation or a strained ligament? I haven't heard anything specific, except that the UCL shows no tear. I hope it is not a matter of something wrong at the attachment to the bone, just waiting for more stress and strain to detach. www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/conditions-and-diseases/ulnar-collateral-ligament-ucl-injuries-of-the-elbow#vm_A_b8d4a99f

I skipped a couple innings. The scoreboard says Rodon pitched well throughout his outing…any comments about what you guys saw?

It's Gleyber Day! 4-2 Yankees. Centerfield home run is a good sign for Torres.

Sign everybody! Trade for everybody! The ship is sinking! Bail water! Water the bails! Empty the farm! Sound the alarm. Or not… Calm down, Inger, or you'll have to eat a ladle full of mayo. Just a little dark humor. Hope we get another starter either way…

Moving the fastball around, much better staying out of the middle of the plate. I joined the game about a half inning late, but I did see the homer he allowed. Shortly after I moved ahead about 1.5 innings to catch up with you guys…

Stanton with a double, just moved his BA above the Mendoza line at .208. That's the best swing at staying on the ball from him in a long time.

Verdugo still in the doldrums. I hope his hitting wasn't tied to a beard and a poor attitude.

A young Rizzuto makes that play at third in foul ground. (That's for you, Inger).

Good at bat from Dalbec waiting on the fastball against Marinaccio. Marinaccio settled in after the leadoff double, showing a good slider, decent fastball location at times, and the return of his change-up. Not automatic yet, but showing signs of what got him to the big leagues.

Good at bat from Dalbec waiting on the fastball against Marinaccio. Dalbec is an acquaintance of my grandson. I always pull for him, as long as it doesn't hurt the Yanks. Would like to see him stick with someone.
