Slider low/away on 1-2 and Stanton hits it well but lines out to Meyers to end the inning. Bottom 6, 1-0 Astros. He actually did a decent job of staying on that sweeper.

20 pitches for Javier in the 6th, 90 through 6, and that's probably it for him tonight.

Well, I expected Stanton to K. He stayed back and lined that low and outside breaking ball to center. Hopefully thats it for Javier.

Waldo and Soto have been the only offense tonight. Has Judge looked bad at the plate?

With his 1 for 8 so far this season, Stanton is 111 for 626 since the end of May in 2022. That's a full season of batting .177.
In a 1-0 game, Yanks pull the emergency cord and bring in the dangerous Luke Weaver.

6 pitches to Diaz so far for Weaver all at or above the top of the zone. Waist high change outside corner popped to Volpe for the 1st out.

Waldo and Soto have been the only offense tonight. Has Judge looked bad at the plate? Off-balance. Astros like to throw him slow breaking stuff way inside, and he's just not gotten his timing with the abbreviated spring training after the core strain.
