Sweeper hangs in the middle but taken, 0-1 Cutter well outside, 1-1 Sweeper even further outside, 2-1. Chases a 93 cutter about 3 inches outside, 2-2 Hanging slider fools McCormick, as he guessed FB or sinker by location. It was up in the zone in the middle, and he swung early on it, K Inning over.
Top 3, 1-0 Yanks. 16 pitches for Schmidt in the 2nd, 27 through 2.
Top of the order for the Yanks in the 3rd: Torres, Soto, Judge

Torres takes a strike, then jammed by a FB in and pops to Tucker in right, 1 down.

My grandmother always bought me those circus peanuts, which are made of the same thing as peeps. Just awful, but I didn't have the heart to tell her. Jelly beans would have been perfect. circus peanuts are in the HOF of bad candies. They’re good the day they’re made. Once the air gets to them the slightest bit, they go downhill…

Fb near the inside corner, taken for a strike. Fooled by a big dropping curve, knee high in the middle, 0-2 on Soto. OOOO Mistake! Bad FB waist high, inner half, and he fouls it off. France got away with one. Change well outside, 1-2 Throws him the same curve he fooled him with on the 0-1 and he fools him again, K. 2 down.

Judge takes a Judge strike low and it's called a ball for once. Swings over a change thigh high in the middle, 1-1 Cutter low/away 2-1 Change bounced outside, 3-1 UIBB? Shouldn't be. FB near middle, crushed, but right to Altuve, who is knocked down but holds it for the 3rd out. A mere 114.6 on that lineout. Inning over.
Bottom 3, 1-0 Yanks. 12 pitch 1-2-3 for France, and 52 through 3.
Pena, Meyers, Altuve for the Astros in the 3rd.
