At some point, the Yanks are going to have to give Wells most of the starts, and get Stanton out of the lineup against righties. You want both Trevino and Wells in the lineup???? One being a dh? Don't we want the backup catcher to provide backup? |

Slider outside, 1-2
Judge gets a slight break. FB at the top clips the top of the zone, not called.
Curve low, 3-2.
Curve 2-3 inches low, Judge fouls it off.
Wow, terrible call!! Not even close
FB about 4-5 inches low, called strike 3. Maybe a make-up for the 1-2 call?
If so, the two were not remotely equal.
The 1-2 was 10-15% at the top, and that one was a good 4-5 inches out of the zone low.
Statcast, as usual, says it was a 50-50 strike.

Way low on Judge for strike three, should have been a walk. Judge probably has 100 more career walks rather than outs with an electronic ump just at the bottom of the zone.

Alexander fouls up a FB up and in, then fouls another a couple of inches toward the middle.
Then fouls off 3rd in the same spot, more or less.
Cutter high, 1-2

Atleast Cortes has settled in. Hes doing decent now. With our bats we can compete if he has a 4-5 era as a 4 or 5 guy in the rotation. Gonna be tough against Gallon tonight. Lets see what we can do...only bottom 3rd.
