Happy to see Grisham in and Stanton out… I’d like to see more of that… Grisham doesn't hit Kelly, but he can't be any worse than Stanton against righties. |

How many strikes are you going to give a good pitcher like Kelly, Cabrera?

This auto correct on my tablet sucks. It keeps changing my submission requiring me to make corrections causing a longer duration to post. Unfortunately my desktop is at the other end of the house with no tv in my study...argh!!!

Wells chases a curve low, fouls it off.
Swings on a change low/away foul tips, 0-2
Change outside 3-4 inches, he spoils it off to the left side.
Got a mistake but missed it.
FB was supposed to be inside, but ran back over the outer half, and Wells fouled it off
Curve below the zone, fouled, that's 3 out of the zone Wells has chased.
FB outside is ball 1.
FB even further outside is ball 2.
Back leg curve?
Another mistake with a FB again supposed to be up and in, but runs across the plate to the outer 3rd, Wells is late and under, pops to Gurriel in left.
In spite of the result, Kelly looked annoyed that he didn't get that pitch where he wanted

FB misses outside by two inches, Barnhart OBVIOUSLY PULLS THE MITT TOWARD THE CORNEr, and gets a bad call from the ump. ꓘ, inning over
Yanks go 1-2-3 again, on 15 pitches and 34 through 3 for Kelly.
The bad call trifecta: 3 inches outside, 0% strike on YES, Gameday and Statcast K zones.
Bottom 3, 1-0 D'backs.

FB misses outside at the top at 94, 1-0 on Marte.
Flies open and loses the change way up and away, 2-0.
Danger pitch here.
Good cutter down and in gets a swingover. Very good cutter there.
FB waist high, inner half, jams himself a bit and he flies to Grisham, just to the left of dead center, 1 down.

Slider barely gets down to the top of the zone, 1-1 on Carroll
FB just above the zone, inner 3rd, Carroll jammed and pops high to Volpe, 2 down.

Bad FB just outside middle middle, but Gurriel late and under, fouls it off, 1-2
Cutter knee high, just inside middle, but Gurriel misses under, pops to Volpe on the outfield grass. inning over.
This Rodon isn't dominant, but might be workable, He'll have to improve his command to be more consistent, but he can win like this in 5-6 inning starts. Maybe 7 on a good day.
Top 4, 1-0 D'backs.
Top of the order for the Yanks, who, for those who obsess about suck things, have 0 Left on base so far today.

Kelly leaves a 2nd slider waist high outer 3rd, and Torres hits a looping liner to left for a single.
