Jones is a better defensive OF than Judge or Soto, so I'd keep him out there and try other options at first base. I'm thinking Judge will eventually move into more of a DH role...sooner than later.
That's my guess too just as soon as they can trade Stanton or until Stanton's contract is up.

The Yankees are on the hook for about $ 160 M for salaries to Judge, Cole, Rodon, Stanton, Stroman and DJ. A decision to retain Soto and Torres is a decision by Hal to pay the LT "forever". Keeping both and adding in the cost of benefits gets you to the LT for 2025 ($241 M) What we don't know is whether that makes $$$ sense for the Yankees. For all I know the Yankees are profitable with a $300 M payroll or even at $400 M. I have posted before, I doubt that the Yankees re-sign both Soto and Torres unless one or both of them agrees to sign a deferred contract similar to Ohtani's. I've had lots of conversation about how much Gleyber is going to command on the free agent market. The broadcast deals that fell through for many teams might have changes those numbers...but I still see him getting big dollars. I would not be shocked if the guys from across town made a run at him.

After what we saw last year, if Dominguez is healthy I would make him everyday CF. Verdugo becomes backup, as long as he starts hitting. Easter and a great road trip really put you in an optimistic frame of mind !!! That post did sound optimistic. Fire Cashman! Fire Boone! Loaisiga's hurt, season over!!! Better?
