Chisholm takes off for 3rd, and Rodon is unnerved, fires it over everything. It's a WP, but that will be cancelled by the SB.
Cutter inside jams Anderson enough, he hits a soft bouncer to Berti, who throws him out to get out of the jam and end the inning.
Bottom 4, 1-0 Yanks. 16 pitches for Rodon and 58 through 4.
Rizzo, Volpe, Verdugo for the Yanks in the 4th.

The answer to Name that Yankee is fan favorite Kevin Brown. couldn't stand that guy.
also javy vazquez into the mix. the year after they didn't bring pettitte back. always felt that if pettitte was on that team, the curse doesn't get broken

Isn't wrestling all fakery ? How can you slam an opponent with a wooden chair and walk away unscathed? Sometimes they mess up and actually hit the guy!  I like that they wear little chips of razor blades in the tape on their fingers so they can cut their own scalp or forehead to fake real cuts from those chairs. The chairs and the distraction of the referee were used when I was a kid, and still are… |

The best was when he punched the wall and broke his hand. Also great was Cashman bringing back Javy Vazquez for the second time.  |

Volpe tries a 1st pitch push bunt, but has the bat angled wrong and fouls it off.
Late on a FB just inside, fouled back, 0-2.
FB well high, 1-2
FB inside, 2-2
Splitter down and in, Volpe hits a high fly down the line in left and it just hooks foul, apparently. Umps will take a second look, but it was foul.

FB misses high over the outer half, but Verdugo ducking out as if he thought it was up and in. 3-1
FB up and in but still in the zone, fouled back, 3-2.
FB just above the top, ball 4. Man on 1st, 2 down for Berti.

Scripted and choreographed, the participants are amazing athletes, or just huge people that are impressive to just see, like a side show in the circus. I’m amused by someone talking about “achieving” the title. He might have had to spend some “special time” with owner Vince McMahon to make that achievement… Kurt Angle and I were in the same graduating class at Clarion University and he was an amazing amateur wrestler and an Olympian who later became like a cartoon character with the fake stuff. |
