Challenge him, even with a 1 run lead.
Dumb, just dumb.
Back leg curve taken for ball 4.
Things like this are why he can't go more than 5 innings.

Walk this guy and you deserve to lose the lead.
His command is just so poor. Too bad. Stupid, stupid walk.

He's the same pitcher. I don't see any real improvement in his command, and slowly, his stuff will diminish. |

Rushing and flying open nearly every pitch at the moment, making him misses outside and high.
These are the 7-8-9 hitters and they're not good hitters.

2-0 to Rocchio is a sinker above the waist to the inside corner, Rocchio rolls it over to Torres, who starts a 4-6-3 DP.
Schmidt escapes his own poor command. 20 pitches in the 5th, and 79 through 5.
Boone has a tough call here. Schmidt's command...3rd time through the order...already at nearly 80 pitches, he'll be facing the tough top of their order...but it's a doubleheader.
Top 6, 1-0 Yanks. It would've helped a lot if the Yanks had cashed in a couple of chances and had a 3-0 or 4-0 lead.
