Quickly 2-1 on Ramirez.
FB waist high with a bit of cutting action, hit sharply to Rizzo, he flips to Hamilton, 1 down.
Naylor is 0-1 vs. Hamilton with a sac fly, a RBI and a K.

Does Grisham have any minor league options left and can he go to the minors? He has to be the odd man out barring injuries. When Jasson is back and Stanton is hitting.

Hope I'm wrong, but don't like the feel of this game. Too many guys left on base and a really bad error. Would hate to use up the pen and not get the W, especially with a callup going in game 2. This game feels like broccoli florets feel to Inger. |

2-0 on Freeman, gets a slider-change right down the middle and misses over/early.
Swings over another one going down and in, 2-2. Seems like he has better break on it this inning.
3rd one in the middle, is hit high down the line in left, Verdugo moves over, raises the mitt and catches it against the wall behind the end of the netting. Fine play by Verdugo gets the 3rd out.
Top 9, 3-2 Yanks, and they're through the heart of the Guardians order, taking some pressure off Holmes should the lead still be just 1 when he comes in for the 9th. 33 pitches for Hamilton, so he's not pitching the 2nd game, and probably not tomorrow either.
