Naylor takes off for 2nd too soon, Schmidt steps off, wheels around throws to 2nd, and catches Naylor stealing to end the inning. Well, that's one way to keep the pitch count down, somewhat.
Top 3, 1-0 Yanks. 14 pitches for Schmidt in the 2nd, 35 through 2. Carrasco threw 19 in his 2nd, and is at 36 through 2.
Soto, Judge, Rizzo for the Yanks in the 3rd.

Soto... Change gets a tiny piece of the outside corner, no Soto-call on that one. 1-2 on him now. Soto working his usual long at bat. 6th pitch coming. Bounced curve runs the count full. Sinker starts high, finishes 2 inches above the zone with good tail to the outside corner, ball 4.

Judge's wind-aided double in the first was his first hit off Carrasco in 6 PA, 4 of them have been K's. Chases a slider inside, tries to check, hits the bat and goes foul. Sigh, 1-2. Hanging slider but Judge misses, pops high to center, Freeman comes in, waits for it and catches, they throw behind Soto, and Naylor takes his leg across to bag, blocking Soto, who might have been tagged out getting back. If the call is overturned because he was tagged, Yanks should then challenge for him blocking the bag.

Call overturned, Soto out, Yanks should challenge because Naylor held his leg across the baseline before catching the ball. But it looks like they won't.

Yanks don't challenge, not sure why. Not challengable, maybe?
