I know how baseball has scored plays forever, can't assume a double play for example. I say why not? I think scorers should have latitude to give errors on plays that should have resulted in an out such as the two we saw in the 10th.

I'm now thinking that the Yanks won't have a championship level defense until Arias comes up and takes over short, and Volpe goes to 2nd. They need some other things, but Volpe, despite the good defensive metrics is a bit short on the arm at short, Moving him to 2nd gives the Yanks a plus-plus defensive 2nd baseman, and Arias is supposed to be a plus shortstop. Longerhagen gives him a future grade of 60 for his defense, and his most recent scouting report on him includes: "He is also a skilled and acrobatic shortstop defender with fantastic actions and arm strength." Volpe had been projected to move to 2B since his time in the organization. Peraza was penciled in as the heir apparent at SS, but it could be Arias now. Remains to be seen.

Highs to start the inning and the wheels fall off to end it.

Yanks move on to Toronto tomorrow night, with a return match 3 game set against the Jays.
1st game is 7:07 on YES, Luis Gil makes his 3rd start of the season for the Yanks, and Chris Bassitt, who's had the Yankees' number in recent years, pitches for the Jays. In 3 starts, he's 1-2 with a 5.06 ERA this season, but pitched a very good game against the Mariners in his last start.
2nd game is 7:07 Tuesday evening on YES. Carlos Rodon makes his 4th start against a much tougher lineup than the Marlins he faced in his last one. Opposing him is Yusei Kikuchi, who also pitches well against the Yanks. Despite his 0-1 record, he's off to an excellent start this year, 2.30 ERA in 15 2/3 innings with 20 K's so far.
3rd game is 3:07 Wednesday afternoon, again on YES. Marcus Stroman for the Yanks, and Kevin Gausman, who usually owns the Yanks but appeared to be pitching injured in his start at the Stadium againist them, will throw for the Jays. Gausman is 0-2 with an 11.57 ERA on the season, and he thrown just 9 2/3 innings in 3 starts. He had another awful start after he faced the Yanks, giving up 6 runs and 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss against a weak Rockies lineup, and not even at Coors. That game was in Toronto.
Ok, that'll do it for me for today. See you guys tomorrow evening for the first one in Toronto. Good afternoon to all. Bye.

Thats where we disagree, many DPs are very routine and when a catch and throw is not executed I don't understand why it isn't treated as an error. On the Gleyber play, if he fields it cleanly or even picks it up with his first attempt it's a out. He misplayed the ball twice. IMO it should be scored an error. The only reason it isn't is because he isn't throwing to first base. This has always been a bit of a pet peeve for me.

I know it's out of context. As Meatloaf sang, two out of three ain't bad. I'm good as Yankees win series.

Gleyber didn't even get charged with an error on that double bobble in the 10th. I'm not sure what the official scorer was watching.
