So far this season, the gloves are the elephant in the room. By my recollection, poor defense has been the reason for 3 of the 4 losses. Gleyber has seemed prone to the yips throughout his career and Volpe is young, but wtf is going on with Rizzo?

The o my time I drove through there I know we popped. In and out of time zones. It was Twilight Zonish for us. Congrats to Azbob743 for surviving it without falling into another dimension and being early or late for everything…🤓

As you probably know, AZ does not observe daylight savings time...that is except for the Navajo Nation. However, the Hopi Reservation, which is within the Navajo Nation, follows AZ in NOT observing DST. Makes for very interesting (confusing) drives thru NE AZ, especially re hotel reservations (no pun intended). Regardless, I have it set to record, as my wife wants to watch "Killers of The Flower Moon" on Apple TV+ tonight. I've seen Billy Joel live in concert several times, at which times he's given my favorite piece of advice..."Don't take any sh1t from anyone". Words I live by...for better or worse.

Just working too hard and not motivated enough to go…

Off to Carmel for a bit. Will be back later in the week but probably will not see any baseball. Will read the game threads when I return, let's keep winning series.

TV has so many uncertainties any more. Do I do to my HDMI-5 and use Roku, or do I watch off my local antenna? Ruthie has the TV set on the antenna and 60 minutes is on, but they announced that some new show is debuting “next”. So now I’ve switched over to Roku, which has a “Live” screen much like MLB uses, but shows additional news programs on its schedule.
I’m quite sure that if I click on”Live” at 7:PM I’ll golden. It’s just weird. It’s a lot of work figuring out what’s going on…I swear there’s a market to be served just helping people figure out their daily TV schedule…

Yep but not nearly as often as bad offense Yankees have 4 losses ... 3 of them from lack of offense (0, 0, 2 Runs) and 1 of them bad defense/ bad pitching (They let up 7 earned runs today)

The concert itself was in March so maybe everyone was scheduled to see it 8:00 their time.

Ack, that loss left a bad taste in my mouth.
How was the Billy Joel concert?
It was disappointing to me. All because of network TV's treatment of it. Mostly just one song at a time before a string of commercials. The commercial strings were so long that I expect there were songs being played while they were in commercial. A couple of times they did back to back songs before a commercial. If network TV had any brains they would have planned an intermission with one block of commercials, but they don't. Worst of all, Joel was playing Piano Man for his finale and it ran over a bit. The local news station cut him off with at least 1:00 or more to go... I'm going to watch the replay in hopes that it has no commercials and that it doesn't get cut off. Bill was born in 1949, so he's five years older than me, but...man has he aged. Jowly as all Hell. I'm thinking that he's done this concert and released " Turn the Lights Back On" in anticipation of retiring soon. Concerts have a good bit of interplay with the audience, and if the songs were actually gapped for network TV we likely missed some of that. As for the game...It felt like a loss was coming from the time Cleveland tied it at 4-4...Something just didn't feel right.
