TV has so many uncertainties any more. Do I do to my HDMI-5 and use Roku, or do I watch off my local antenna? Ruthie has the TV set on the antenna and 60 minutes is on, but they announced that some new show is debuting “next”. So now I’ve switched over to Roku, which has a “Live” screen much like MLB uses, but shows additional news programs on its schedule. I’m quite sure that if I click on”Live” at 7:PM I’ll golden. It’s just weird. It’s a lot of work figuring out what’s going on…I swear there’s a market to be served just helping people figure out their daily TV schedule… With the Masters running long, the Billy concert didn't come on to around 8:30. The concert itself was in March so maybe everyone was scheduled to see it 8:00 their time. We saw it at 8:00...MST...

Ack, that loss left a bad taste in my mouth.
How was the Billy Joel concert?
it was a little cringy watching Billy flipping his microphone. He was far from deft handling his microphone with dexterity. He's a quintessential NYC/Long Island guy. A great storyteller. The concert was very reminiscing of his many hits, and he had many. I extended my dvd recordings to an extra hour just in case sports event runs overtime. Even still, his concert was shorten about 5 mins(?) to broadcast the news. He was sort of in the middle of a song as they cut off to broadcast the news. Kind of strange.

Sorry they cut him short. I wouldn't say I'm a huge fan of Billy but I have some of his songs in my playlist like Piano Man, We Didn't Start the Fire, Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, and The River of Dreams.

Yep but not nearly as often as bad offense Yankees have 4 losses ... 3 of them from lack of offense (0, 0, 2 Runs) and 1 of them bad defense/ bad pitching (They let up 7 earned runs today) And should have won the game but for the sloppy defense. No team is going to score every game as pitchers have their good days, but not being able to play solid defense is inexcusable. It's the kind of thing that can get magnified in the playoffs when all of the teams have good pitching and offense. Also there's a guy who's been very shaky, Sax/Knobby shaky defensively, whose OPS+ now sits at a 56. He's got multiple tools to help a team lose games.

How was the Billy Joel concert?
It was disappointing to me. All because of network TV's treatment of it. Mostly just one song at a time before a string of commercials. The commercial strings were so long that I expect there were songs being played while they were in commercial. A couple of times they did back to back songs before a commercial. If network TV had any brains they would have planned an intermission with one block of commercials, but they don't. Worst of all, Joel was playing Piano Man for his finale and it ran over a bit. The local news station cut him off with at least 1:00 or more to go... I'm going to watch the replay in hopes that it has no commercials and that it doesn't get cut off. Bill was born in 1949, so he's five years older than me, but...man has he aged. Jowly as all Hell. I'm thinking that he's done this concert and released " Turn the Lights Back On" in anticipation of retiring soon. Concerts have a good bit of interplay with the audience, and if the songs were actually gapped for network TV we likely missed some of that. I give Billy credit for trying to hit the high notes during "An Innocent Man" That has to be a difficult song for him to sing at his age, but the effort was there. Sting did a good job on "Big Man on Mulberry Street", a song that often gets forgotten when discussing Billy's catalog.

Players make errors ... and in this case it was costly. Each team scored on an unearned run ... one team let up more Earned runs and lost If you let up 7 earned runs in a game ... you are likely to lose that game. An error in April does not mean error in playoffs I'm done with Gleyber not because he made an error(s) ... but because it now looks like it's in his head (i.e. Sax/ Knobby) ... players usually dont recover from that

If this was a post season game, we would be fuming. Fumbling the ball was compounded as he didn't think to get a necessary 2nd out at 1B. His quick thinking decision was faulty. That 2nd out would have prevented that sac fly to give Guardians the win.

My wife has one of the Sirius "classic" stations on every day...can count on hearing "Piano Man", "American Pie" & "Cats In The Cradle" 2-3 times over the course of the day. Oh...let's not forget "Hotel California"....
