Rortvedt takes the first pitch for a strike, but Mead gets a huge jump and steals 2nd. Tying run in scoring position now.
Bad change just outside middle, and Boone is lucky it's Rortvedt, because his fliner to right stays up for Soto to come in and catch, inning over.

Santana is trying to insure we will see Holmes today. Argh! Dang it!  Hamilton more likely, because Holmes has pitched two days in a row, but the Rays hit Hamilton better than any other team except the Blue Jays. |

Why is Santana still pitching? Because Boone didn't warm anyone until after the two run double. Cabrera gets a 1-0 sinker up in the zone and drives it to center, but Arozena gets a good read, runs back and catches it in fairly deep center, 1 down. Volpe chases an 0-1 sinker down and in and grounds out to 3rd, 2 down. |
