1-1 on Soto. Can't believe the Yanks can't do anything with Ramirez, but here we are.
Cutter up in the zone, and Soto was a bit late and under fouls it off. Then he yells in anger at himself for missing the hanging cutter.
Slider drops sharply to the knees, Soto takes it but doesn't get the Soto-call, K
Easy 1-2-3 for Ramirez, just 8 pitches.
Top 9, and all the momentum is with the Rays now. Plus, if Boone goes to Hamilton, the Rays hit him very well.
5-4 Yanks, going top 9.

Diaz has never faced Gonzalez either.
Takes a strike then a ball, 1-1
Sinker down the middle, Diaz a bit late, fouls it off.
Change low in the middle, hit hard through the box, hit the front of the mound and slows a bit, Torres backhands behind 2nd, sets and makes a fine throw for the 2nd out.
Torres taketh away and Torres giveth.
