Wells has not impressed me behind the plate, (or in front of it)

Sinker bounced inside past Wells for a wild pitch, the runners move up to 2nd and 3rd with 2 down. Makes a very good pitch with a slider to the low outside corner, Noda tries to pull, rolls it down the line to Rizzo, who takes it to the bag to end the threat and the inning.
Bottom 2, 4-2 Yanks. 25 pitches for Stroman in the 2nd and 48 through 2. Gave Blackburn a lot of rest after his rough 1st inning as well.
Cabrera, Wells and Volpe in the 2nd.

Fine with me, inger, my act could use a good analyst... Nevin misses a waist high sinker on the outside corner on the 2-2 to K and end the inning. Bottom 1, 1-0 A's. Stroman wound up throwing 23 pitches in the 1st, with two long at bats after getting the first two batters quickly. Stats say that Blackburn's very low ERA is misleading because of very low BABIP and very high strand percentage. I suppose we'll see soon for ourselves. Oh, I never thought of that. An analyst, wow. A real title. I was thinking maybe on a day I had tacos and beans… 🤓🤓😂 Being a comic isn’t easy. I throw out my best material and the house is silent… 🤓

Aube-Kubel takes a penalty and the Rangers capitalize. Zibanajad with the goal, assisted by Trochek and LaFreniere. Oshi takes a penalty for holding and the Rangers are back on the PP with 4 minutes left in the 1st, up 2-1.

1-2 to Cabrera misses high, 2-2 Grounder toward the hole, but Allen backhand, sets and throws a strike to first, 1 down.

Wells rolls over on a 1-0 change to Noda, he flips to Blackburn, 2 down.

Volpe chases a bad slider low and away, and is behind 0-2.

Wells has not impressed me behind the plate, (or in front of it) We’ve had some disappointing starts this year, but I’m really disappoint in this one… I thought he’d give us a significant offensive upgrade. I’m missing Rortvedt now…

Cutter way high, 2-2 on Volpe. Slider backs way up and in, 3-2.
Gets a cutter on the low outside corner, taps it softly down 3rd, Nevin does what he can with it, but Volpe beats it easily for an infield hit.
Soto up.
Rangers apparently took a penalty while on that PP and they were in 4 on 4 play when I last peaked at that game.

Ohhhhh, what you just took, Juan 1-0 sinker inner 3rd and just below the waist, 1-1 Cutter in almost the same location, but he fouls it down off his shin guard on a bounce. 1-2 Sharp curve dives low, 2-2 Volpe going here?
