Why is Volpe still leading off? Why is Judge still batting 3rd? We went from a different lineup everyday last year to refusing to change it when it needs to be this year. The team's best leadoff hitter would be Soto The team's best #2 hitter would be Soto The team's best #3 hitter would also be Soto The really don't have anyone else to leadoff unless Volpe breaks out of this funk he's in. You could make the argument to hit Verdugo leadoff, but that puts 2 leftys in a row at the top of the lineup.

O's had a 4:00 EDT start on getaway day in Anaheim, they lead the Angels 6-4, top 9. Sox lead the Indians 2-0 top 3 in Cleveland. Sox trying to salvage the 3rd game of that series. Tigers have a 1-0 lead on the Rays, bottom 1st in Tampa Jays are in KC for a 7:35 EDT start, Rodriguez vs. Marsh in that one. The Angels get a run off Kimbrel in the 9th but they still fall 6-5.

Sinker on the corner away, fouled, 1-1 Cutter well inside, 2-1. Cutter into the top swung under, 2-2 Cutter down the middle, thigh high, fouled off (1) Cutter on the outside corner, lined sharply to Volpe for the 1st out. I'll see it next pitch. Just a sinking liner to Volpe almost right behind 2nd, Volpe leapt to his backhand to grab it.

Schmidt has got to be the most frustrating pitcher in our rotation. He has good stuff but never pitches to put hitters away. He's now at 20 pitches and not out of the first.

Bleday takes a sinker outside, then another low, then fouls off a knee high cutter down the middle (1) Cutter in almost the same spot as the one fouled, called a ball, even though it got a piece of the bottom of the zone, 3-1 Curve breaks down to the knees, Bleday swings over, 3-2 Thigh high cutter just inside middle, a bad mistake, and Bleday lines it over first, beating Rizzo leap, and into the corner for a 2 out double Man on 2nd, 2 down for Rooker

That's why I've named him Mr. Infuriating, nw, and good evening to you Sinker low, slider almost down the middle (1), Slider low and away, 2-1 on Rooker Slider outside, 3-1

Sinker in the zone a 90% strike up and away in the zone, called ball four. Trevino had to reach for it I guess, but that's just a bad call 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Brown. Chases a sinker outside, 0-1
