Slider into the top of the zone, 1-2
Sinker waist high middle in, but Contreras fouls it back.
Swings over a slider with terrific drop in the middle of the plate low in the zone for the K.
Best slider Holmes has had in a while

Yanks will send up Grisham, Volpe and Soto. Trevino is the ghost runner and they can't pinch-run for him, because they have no 3rd catcher

Koenig comes in for the 10th. He threw 18 pitches yesterday.
Must be a weird sidearmer, throws the FB 93% of the time and tops and averages 93.
Stanton, a dreadful pinch hitter in his career, pinch hitting for Grisham against the lefty
Takes the 1st pitch inside, ball 1
FB inside ball 2.
Other pitch is an 81 curve he throws about 5% of the time
FB at the knees, 2-1
FB inside at the knees, 3-1

Ankle high FB near middle, he golfs a 2 iron up the left center gap, gets by Weimer to the wall, Trevino scores to give the Yanks a 6-5 lead and Stanton turns a double into a double with an awkward slider into 2nd!

Me neither, pres Turns over a sinker away and Volpe swings over it, 0-1 on Volpe. Sinker down and in, 1-1 FB well inside, Volpe chases and fouls it off, 1-2 Tonkin throwing just in case the Yanks break it open, I'd think FB down and in at 96 hits the inside corner as Contreras yanks it way up, gets the call, ꓘ, 2 down. Excuse me, 1 down Soto pops the first pitch to Wiemer in left for out #2. IBB for Judge 1st and 2nd, 2 outs. |
