Tonkin's taking this L so he can be DFAed right after by the way.
FB low in the middle, he's late and squibs it foul, loses the bat over the Brewers' dugout.
Sanchez is in fact the runner at 2nd.

Poor decisions by Boone: keeping Gil in an extra inning, not pitching Holmes an extra inning, keeping in Tonkin too long, costs us the game.

Infield and outfield both in.
Ortiz takes a strike.
Then a ball.
Sinker inside corner, hammered through the left side of the drawn in infield no chance for anyone to make a move, game-winner, Brewers come back 3 times, beat the Yanks 7-6 in 11 innings.
Terrible loss, setting up another loss tomorrow with the Brewers good relievers ready to go.
Didn't save the pen, didn't win the game, Tonkin gets DFA'ed after being forced to suffer a loss to bring up a fresh arm.
Yanks blow a chance to gain a game on the division.
The only way things could have gone worse is a major injury to a key player.
