Takes a cutter in the zone for strike 2. And then Rea inexplicably gives Grisham another neon meatball sinker, just a bit inside of the other one, and Grisham jumps ugly on it, his first Yankee hit is a Yankee Moment™, belts a 3 run HR to right, and the Yanks take back the lead, 5-4!!!!1

That's enough "WELL"s for an oil field.

Volpe takes a curve for a strike, then golfs a sinker low to deep right center, Perkins goes back to the wall and makes a nifty leaping grab to end the inning.
Bottom 4, 5-4 Yanks. 23 pitches for Rea in the 4th, and 71 through 4.
Turang, Ortiz and Chourio for the Brewers in the 4th.

O's lead the A's 2=1 bottom 8th. Dodgers burying the Jays, 11-1 top 7 in Toronto. Cubs belting the BoSox 7-1 in the 7th at Fenway. White Sox surprising the Rays, 5-0 bottom 6 in Chicago. Yanks can open up some ground on the teams behind them if they hold this meager lead.

1-2 FB again, up and over the kmiddle, grounds it up the middle for a leadoff single I'd expect him to be stealing. SOON.

Back from eating bone in pork chops (sorry Kaybli), mashed potatoes and green beans just in time to watch a Grisham make his biggest contribution of the year. Now we need to keep hitting and scoring…

Ortiz fouls off a change, 0-1 Chases a FB high, 0-2 FB high, 1-2 Chases another FB above the zone, popped to right, Soto comes in and over near the stands, catches, 1 out, and Turang holds.
Grisham's 1st HR as a Yankee: 104 mph, 404 feet, 26º launch angle, a HR in all 30 parks.

Slider seems to have clipped the high outside corner, not called, 1-0 on Chourio. Throw over. Runners are 2-2 vs. Gil, and Wells has thrown out just 1 out of 10. Chases a high FB, 1-1 Chases a FB way up and in, 1-2 Misses a slider in the zone for the K. 2 down I have Chourio on my fantasy team, and when they signed him to that long term deal, I said oh, spit, because I know they'd have him on the team this year, and though they had a great year at AA as a 19 year old, his numbers told me he didn't have sufficient command of the K zone to play in the majors yet. Well, maybe he'll get there, but I think they'll send him back down soon.

FB high, and Turang steals 2nd. Change in the zone for a strike, 1-1 on Frelick Change outside 2-1 Slider down and in, 2-2 Change down the middle hit well, but well foul down the right side, 3-2 FB inside ball 4, bring up Contreras, who's an EXCELLENT clutch hitter.
Blake goes out to give Gil a rest for a bit.

Damage seems to get done with 2 outs tonight. Let's hope Gil walks away unscathed.
