Well I'll be a jelly donut, took 2/3 in Alice Cooper's favorite city and head to Baltimore with the bats on fire...

How is “hustling for a double” a “stupid move"…and since when should Yankee players be concerned with the “feelings” of opposing teams? Gleyber goes 5 for 11 / 4 RBI over the past 2 games, makes a couple of very nice plays…yet some find, even look for, ways to criticize. That’s what’s “classic”….ridiculously so. Up by 10 in the 8th, you don't try for hustling doubles which don't mean anything. Torres had the big double yesterday, and made a great play later, and that's the Good Torres, but this is an inappropriate play because, among other reasons, he's needlessly risking an injury for no good reason. There's praising Torres, and then there's this. Really? So you're concerned about him injuring himself. My bad...thought you were concerned with the "feelings" of the Brewers.

Yanks move on to Baltimore for four in Camden Yards. Game 1 is 6:35 pm tomorrow evening on YES: Clarke Schmidt for the Yanks, and hard throwing lefty Grayson Rodriguez for the O's Game 2 is 6:35 pm Tuesday evening, also on YES: Righty Dean Kremer, off to a poor start this season at 1-2, 4.65 but who has pitched some very good games against the Yanks his last couple of times vs. Nestor Cortes. Game 3 is 6:35 pm Wednesday evening on Prime Delayed Video: Luis Gil against the O's new ace, Corbin Burnes, who at 3-0, 2.55 ERA is pitching like the ace that he is for the O's. Game 4 is 1:05 pm Thursday afternoon on YES: Cole Irvin, 2-1 with a 3.65 ERA vs. a seemingly rejuvenated Carlos Rodon.
OK, that's all for me for today. See you guys tomorrow evening for the big showdown in Baltimore. Good evening to all. Bye.

Someone clue me in...I was watching the Knicks when Judge broke up the DP earlier in the inning. Did the throw hit him, or did he run over the pivot man...what happened? It appeared to me that in the act of sliding his hand went up. He’s a big man. I doubt there was intent… and do did the umps… A seven-run slide in any event… Looked like that to me, too.

Sigh... "among other reasons" means...more than one reason. Yankee coaches need to tell their players to stop hustling in "meaningless" games/situations. It's phony hustle for the player's self-aggregation (stats) Torres makes hustling plays in terrific situations, and plays himself out of innings and blowing innings up for the other team, trying to hustle. He's a mixture of good and bad, like most players, and clever and un-clever, also like most players. That move got him a double out of a single, but was unnecessary with a 10 run lead and just for show, although Boone will never openly criticize it because he never openly criticizes any of his players. Defend it if you want, but I won't.

Wow Brewers fans are not too happy about the Judge oven mitt call:
https://www.reddit.com/r/baseball/comments/1cff8vd/highlight_aaron_judge_throws_up_the_oven_mitt_and/
I think he was definitely trying to at least block his sight/make the throw harder, it wasn't just a purely innocent coincidence his hand went where it did when it did. And he's a big boy who ended up getting a blocked shot.
After reading that thread I'm not sure it was the right call, but I will take it.

There's nothing to call when the throw doesn't hit his hand. He's willfully/intentionally sliding like that though to try and make the throw angle/line of sight harder. Is it willful interference when the ball does hit his hand? I'd probably think so if some player on another team did that in a similar situation against the Yankees. And in this case it led to to a scoring spree which really made the Brewers fans extra salty about it.
