Gleyber base hit. Two on for Oswaldo. Orioles go to the bullpen. We really can’t predict that Torres would have gotten the same pitch in the same spot at the same speed, or that he have had the same swing.

It's unbelievable how unathletic Stanton has become. You are not going to convince me thats as hard as he can go. He's made up his mind to go 75% regardless of the situation. It's looks old timers day when he's on the bases.

He was freezing, even moving backwards thinking Westburg might catch the liner, so he had to change direction to start going, too much for him at this point. Slider low on the outer 3rd, 0-1 Knuckle curve to the bottom in the middle, 0-2 Flies open, missed way up away, 1-2 Rolls over on a curve low in the middle, grounds to Torres for out #1.

Slider outside to O'Hearn, 1-0 Curve backs up and away, 2-0 Sinker outside, 3-0. Ruh roh. Get it over cutter thigh high outside middle, don't throw that one again, 3-1 Rushes and flies open, sinker well outside, ball 4.

Fallacy of the predetermine outcome, which I know is false but use myself sometimes. Cutter backs up outside, 1-0 Not finishing the pitches anymore. Santander up. Big breaking frisbee curve chases Santander but he swings over it, 1-1 Cutter up and in out of the zone, fouled, 1-2 Cutter up and in on his hands, spoiled, Gets him to chases a sinker waist high, 6 inches outside for the K.

92 pitches for Schmidt, and Boone takes him out on a small high, the whiff of Santander. Pitched a good game in a clutch spot. I got no real complaints with this one, wasn't even his usual inefficient self most of the game.
Santana in o face the righty Mountcastle with 2 down and a man of 1st.

I'd let Schmidt try to complete this inning, we're trying to develop a pitcher here.

Mountcastle pulls off a cutter that goes just low in the middle, 0-1 Big breaking cutter well outside, taken, 1-1 FB in a dangerous spot, but good late tail, jams him just enough, high fly to medium deep right center is handled easily by Grisham, inning over.
Top 7, 1-0 Yanks.
Grisham for his 3rd try, then back to the top with Volpe and Soto, unless they PH for Grisham.
