Rizzo 0-2 with a K vs. Baumann FB off a FB away, then pops a FB just above the zone to Hendereson, 1 down.

Torres 0-1 vs. Baumann. Takes a slider outside, chases an even worse slider, 1-1 Slider inside middle, grounds out to Henderson, two down.

Probably a few of you remember ex-Red Sox/White Sox pitcher Frank Baumann. This guy appears to be no relation.

Grisham has never faced Baumann. FB waist high inside middle best pitch he'll see, takes it for a strike. Baumann FB 96-7, curve 86-7, Slider 91 and change 88 that he uses maybe once an inning. Change low, change even lower, 2-1 FB misses about 4-5 inches low, called strike 2 anyway, terrible call. Change down and in should be ball 4, but it's 3-2

On the O's webcast, Palmer said this about the terrible 2-1 call: "Sometimes that's a strike, sometimes that's a ball". Yes, in the sense that it gets called a strike maybe 1 in 100 times, Jim.

2-0 Yanks, going bottom 7. O'Hearn, Mountcastle and Cowser get their 3rd look at Gil, or maybe their first look at a reliever. Let's see how Boone plays this one.

An aggressive play is not a stupid play. Everyone knows you can run on Burnes. There's 1 out, so stealing 3rd allows you to potentially score a run with a sac fly or even a ground ball. It's the right time to make the play, he just didn't get there. If he’s safe, he’s a genius… out, he’s a bone head. Ask Gleyber… Yeah, it's kind of a bottom line thing.

Is 2 runs going to be enough?

Probably a few of you remember ex-Red Sox/White Sox pitcher Frank Baumann. This guy appears to be no relation. Last MLB Baumann before Mike was Buddy, who pitched for the Padres and Mets 6-7 years ago.

this oriole lineup is tough. the lowest batting average in the top 6 of the lineup is henderson at .283.
yankees only two hitters higher than that. soto at .328, trevino at .288, ocab .265 and volpe .264.

Gil still in for O'Hearn, at least Change at the bottom of the zone 0-1 Then misses with: 3 FBs thrown all over the place and a change low, ball 4.
That should be it for Gil.

Gil overthrowing a bit in the 7th. I like Boone showing confidence, but I think it's time to go get him.
