Yanks win 2-0, four pitchers combining for a 3 hit shutout, the first the O's have taken this year.
Yanks get back to 8 games over at 20-12, still percentage points behind the O's who are 19-11.
They'll also gain a game on both the Jays and the Rays, who lost earlier today. Sox lead the Giants 5-2 bottom 7 in Fenway.
If that score holds the Yanks will be tied for first, 1 1/2 up on the 3rd place Sox, 5 up on the Jays and 6 up on the Rays.

Holmes was absolutely filthy! Holmes is getting better as the season moves along. He was walking the tightrope the first couple of weeks of April, but not anymore. |

3rd star of the game: Holmes for the excellent work for the save. 1 2/3 innings, just the one infield hit and 3 K's.
2nd star: Cabrera for the game-decided 2 run HR off an otherwise brilliant O's starter Burnes.
1st star: Luis Gil, 6 1/3 shutout innings with just 1 BB, the longest start of his brief career.
Tip of the cap to Caleb Ferguson, who was also great in his brief relief appearance.
