Cowser takes a 94 FB above middle, 0-1 94 FB misses way up and away, 1-1 FB into the top middle, fouled off, 1-2 FB up and in at 96, spoiled Takes his timeout Change taken low, 2-2 Chases a FB running on him, about 6 inches inside thigh high for the K. 96.7 on that one.

Being a little snarky with my reply there. Stanton was the reigning MVP when he came to the Yanks, but hasn't played like one since. Had some good years, and some good playoff series, but those days are gone now. As for Mickey, my dad made sure I saw him play in person in his final season, when his glory days were long gone, too. Very cool Qwik. I love stuff like that. My father took us to watch Ted Williams in a game in Baltimore in the late 50s and impressed on me that we were seeing an all-time great hitter and that I would always be able to say I saw him in person. So here I am saying it. My father. Oh. Wait… He and his wife did hold a surprise 30th birthday party for me in their basement. He became ill with brain cancer and died shortly after that. Wish I had met him sooner… he loved baseball…

It would be nice if Volpe learned the strike zone, after all he is the leadoff hitter. He knows it. He proved that earlier this year… Needs some Soto lessons, but some never get it… aggressive swingers are that way by nature, I believe…

Slider low/away to Westburg, 1-0 FB in almost the same spot, 2-0 FB just outside, waist high, chased and fouled, 2-1 Fb 6 inches outside, 3-1 Get it over here, Gil FB just above middle middle, fouled, 3-2 Fb on the corner outside up in the zone, spoiled. FB above the zone, spoiled O's hitters working Gil over so far this inning, 13 pitches so far. FB up in the zone outside middle, lined to center for a hit

Change outside, ball 1 to Mullins. Watch out now with the command and pitch count.

FB waist high but inside, 1-0 on Kjerstad. FB at the top, inner 3rd, popped to Cabrera, inning over. Big, big finish of the inning for Gil. Not just two outs after the hit, but 2 outs on just 5 pitches.
Top 6, 2-0 Yanks. 19 pitches for Gil in the 5th, and 79 through 5.
If you had Gil outpitching Burnes through 5, and throwing fewer pitches to boot, that's some parlay, and my hat is off to your prognostication abilities.
