Cutter breaks across the plate at 88, bounced foul off 3rd, 1-2 Slider stays in the zone knee high in the middle. Bad location, but Mateo fouls it off. Back leg slider hits the back foot, the HP ump says no, but the replay shows it probably grazed the front toe, and the O's challenge. Should be overturned, I think.

Again, he gets ahead 1-2 can't finish the hitter. And now he's in a huge jam. Bases loaded nobody out. Rodon will be lucky to hold this to 2 runs I think. Call overturned, HBP of Mateo confirmed.

FB at the knees at 96, 0-1 Slider way low away, Cowser starts but checks in time, 1-1 Swings over a much more competitive slider, 1-2 Same slider, but Cowser takes this one. Cole method works! Humps the FB up to 98 and blows it by him on the outer half, K. 1 down

McCann will look for a pitch up in the zone to hit a sac fly on. But he takes a FB above the waist for strike 1. FB away at 98.5(!!) and he's late and under, fouls it deep down the right side, trying for the sac fly. Gets him to swing over the bounced slider for the K. 2 down.

#9 hitter up, just struck out 2 to help limit the damage. Perfectly set up for the 2 out nut punch.

McKenna up. FB waist high inner 3rd, hits it on the button, but the liner goes right to Verdugo in left, and Rodon gets out of it. And thanks to the 1-pitch 3rd out, the pitch count isn't excessive: 22 pitches in the 2nd, 34 through 2.
Top 3, 0-0. Top of the order for the Yanks in the 3rd: Volpe, Soto and Judge.

FB that McKenna hits was 98.2, it went back out at 108.2 but landed in Verdugo's mitt.

#9 hitter up, just struck out 2 to help limit the damage. Perfectly set up for the 2 out nut punch. Nice to see Rodon can still get the strikeout when needed.

Slider high, 1-0 Slider low, 2-0 FB at the top of the zone middle-in, taken, 2-1 Takes a sinker with some tail almost in the same spot, 2-2 FB runs inside, Volpe checks but it hits his bat. Sigh.
Slider misses just outside, McCann holds it for a moment, and Bradish falls off as it's strike 3 but it missed by 2 inches. 3-2 Slider backs up to the inside corner and Volpe spoils it.

Low slider, bounced hard down the 3rd base line, right over the bag, dies near the short stands, and Volpe gets a leadoff double. Soto up, man on 2nd, nobody out.
