Way out front and over a change down and in, swung over for the K, inning over.
Top 6, 0-0 19 pitches for Olson in the 5th, 88 through 5.
Top of the Tigers' order gets their 3rd look at Stroman, Greene, Cahha and Perez.

It's amazing that we are 20-13 That 12-3 start goes a long way, and the pitching has been better than expected, the hitting worse.

Slurve in the middle, strike 1 Splitter at the knees, golfed off the end of the bat, finds the hole between Torres and Volpe for a leadoff single.

Sinker drops into the high outside corner, 0-1 on Canha. Made a big location error with the slurve, was supposed to be outside, starts at his body, Canha freezes and it catches the corner inside for strike 2. Slider well outside, chased and missed, K. 1 down.

Sinker outside, ball 1 to Perez Cutter low in the zone, 1-1
First discussion of contract bridge I can ever remember on a Yankees broadcast. 2-1 sinker is low, 3-1. Danger pitch here.

Rushes, flies open and misses up and away with a sinker ball 4. 1st and 2nd, 1 out for Carpenter.
And this catches the crack "brain trust" in the Yankees dugout by surprise, they just now call the bullpen to get someone throwing as Blake goes out to give Stroman a breather and try to figure out a way to keep Carpenter from breaking this one open.

woooooo, what you just got away with A Cutter in the drop the bat happy zone, above the knees, just inside middle, but he fouled it off. The next pitch is better but not by much, thigh high sinker on the corner inside, fouled, 2-2
Stroman lucky to get away with both pitches...

Slurve was supposed to be back door from where Wells set up, but he misses again in the drop the bat happy zone down and in, and again, Carpenter misses, and fouls it. He won't keep missing forever... Sinker low is spoiled Cutter down and in, no chance, ball 4.

Wow, Stroman pitching himself into a major jam and the Tigers are having better AB's than the Yanks.

That at bat was long enough for Hamilton to get ready, but Boone stays with Stroman against the rookie, Keith. Sinker inside corner barely, 0-1. Cutter into the top of the zone, big swing, fouled off 0-2...

Slider bounced over home, again, very little chance of getting a chase, too low. 1-2 Sinker low, but higher, and Keith bounces it foul off 1st, still 1-2 Sinker needs to be further outside and low. Misses low with a cutter 23 pitches this inning so far... His command is very very bad right now, and he also has a high BB rate this year, Cutter way inside, 3-2
