NO Manny was an A-HOLE as a person. Hated him. Love Soto. True but Soto is as good a hitter as Pujols, Manny and Miguel Cabrera, just from the left side. Best left hand hitter since Ortiz, and doing it without PEDs. I'll take the Miguel Cabrera comparison. Your analysis about Ortiz is on cue. |

Lange stays in to face Berti, Trevino and Cabrera.
McKinstry stays in to play 3rd.
Umps might be putting the tarp on. Talking it over with Boone and Hinch.
Boone saying, "do what you think is right"
Hinch saying, "come on, we've put up with this for 7 1/2 innings, let's keep going".
And they're putting the tarp on the field, even though the rain has slowed down to a drizzle.
But they've decided the field is unplayable, and they don't want to risk injuries.
OK, they're taking a break and so will I.
I'll be back when they resume or call it for good.

Maybe I should not say person. As a player his cocky arrogance in a Soxs uniform was what I hated. Not referring to Ramirez 's abhorrent persona, just his ability to deliver the goods. It's a good comparison since Ramirez was such a smart hitter. What's amazing about Soto is how young he is, he still has a long way to go. |

Going into the season I heard of Soto but did not watch. I really enjoy watching him play.

Forgot completely about the start of the Rangers game.
Game is 1-1, 13 minutes left in the 1st, but the Canes have a power play going.
Canes hit the post on a break-in.
Rangers kill it off.
Maybe I will stick around just for this.

Well, maybe I won't get to see the end of this game... me neither. have stuff to do. do players always take their bats during a rain delay. aren't they under the dugout. are they worried a fan is gonna steal them  ?? |
