Nice swing from Wells and a great slide to evade the nice play from Old Mother Tucker's boy in right field. Yep, saw where the throw was going and made Pena miss by sliding to the mound side of 2nd. Volpe swings through a cutter waist high, outer half. 3-2 FB low, ball 4 and the Yanks have the bases loaded for Soto with nobody out. Time to administer the coup de grace, Juan. |

Soto goes after a 1st pitch cutter on the inside corner, grounds it wide of1st to Singleton, he flips to Dubin, the runners all move up, Wells scores, 6-1 Yanks
Not the crushing blow I hoped for but I'll take it.

Lines the 2nd pitch up the right center gap, goes to the wall for a 2 run double, 8-1 Yanks.
Astros' infielders breath a sigh of relief as they survive the foolish infantry charge.

Cutter down the middle, but Stanton misses the cookie, fouls it off.
Curve waist high, outside corner, rolled over to the Pena, throws him out, inning over.
Yanks add 3, lead 8-1 after 6 innings.
7-8-9 for the Astros: Diaz, Dubon and Meyers.
Knicks down by 7 with 3:15 left in the 2nd quarter.
