I don’t know. I went to bed at 7:00 AM, then realized I had to take a conference call with the county commissioners this morning. They want permission to abandon an access road that runs across our property that was never built to access a house on land I own, that is… a house that was never built. In exchange I’ve asked to be re-platted because my house is actually on two lots. It all went well. I’ll have a doc to sign and maybe a small fee or two… No matter what the occasion, someone always wants your credit card... Just my luck…

Not old enough to have seen Boyer play, but can vouch for the other two. For the Young'uns, look up World Series highlights of Brooks from 1970 vs. the Reds, and Nettles highlights in the Guidry start in game 3 of the 1978 World Series. Sometime when you have time, take a peek at the assist numbers for Boyer in B-R. They’re other-worldly. I only saw him a tiny bit before he was sent packing to the Braves… Yeah, he was a big part of that great defensive infield of the early 60's Yankees: Skowron, Richardson and kubek the other three. Wish there was more video of Boyer.

Rafael Montero in to relieve Dubin. Rizzo goes with a 1-2 change outside, hits a medium speed liner to Bregman well off 3rd. 1 down.

Torres rolls over a 1st pitch slider just outside middle down in the zone, grounds to Pena for out #2.

Tucker robs Wells of another hit. That guy can play right field.

Wells misses a FB high, then a change outside Takes a change low, 1-2. Lays off the change diving well outside 2-2. Just in time, too FB outside middle, cracked to right, but too close to Tucker, who can easily reach the topspin sinking hooking fliner for out #3.
Top 8, 8-2 Yanks.
Victor Gonzalez replaces Ferguson and will face Alvarez, Pena and Singleton, at least.

Nats trying to rally in the 9th, get a run and have 1st and 2nd with 2 outs, but still down 3-2 to the O's.

I really like this turning of the tables on the Astros. Last year, it seemed we would get five or six walks per game against them and never get the big hit.

Sinker low to Alvarez, 1-0 Sinker outside corner, thigh high, grounded to the shortstop spot, Volpe playing near 2nd, has to dive to his backhand to spear it, gets up and throws him out, 1 down. Three-star play there by Volpe.

Pena takes a sinker for a strike, then a change down and in. 3rd pitch is a thigh high change on the outside corner, and he actually yanks it to left, and it carries over the wall for a solo HR, 8-3 Yanks Have no idea how he pulled that pitch with power. Pena didn't think he got it all, just 96 exit velo.

Check that bat for corking Yanks. That swing shouldn't have produced a HR on a changeup, not pulled, anyway.

Singleton works the count to 3-1, then rolls over on a waist high sinker, inner 3rd, to Rizzo. He flips to Gonzalez, 2 down.
