I'd rather have Didi at short stop. To me, Manny's decision to dictate that he plays SS has lowered his value. If the Yankees to get him, I hope it's with the understanding that he plays where he's needed, not where he wants to...

I'm just thinking out loud why the Yankees would want him I agree; and furthermore, I hope we don't get involved in the Machado/Harper sweepstakes this off-season. I really like the young talent we have at all positions (even Bird) and do not want to give that up for a highly-priced outsider. Two years ago, I would have been shocked to see those words typed from my hand. |

I really just don't care for either of them. Oh, if the Yankees did get them, I'd teach myself to root for them, just like I rooted for A-Rod...Didn't like him, but still rooted for him...It's more fun when you have likable players that are producing...and playing as a team rather than leaning on one guy to do everything... |

I don't think the Yanks will land Manny but if they do, I hope he plays thrid and DiDi stays at SS, assuming Andujar would be part of the package going to Baltimore. |

Only if they’re committed to being the highest bidder for Manny next year. That could cost upwards of 30 per. Not sure it makes them that much better |

Makes a compelling case for trading him now.

I don't see the point in selling high on Andujar by getting back a handful of games of Machado. If it was a pitcher then yeah... I'll think about that but no not for less than half season of Machado. What would he being to the table? A few more times on base and a lot better defense? I don't see the needle moving much
