I don't see the point in selling high on Andujar by getting back a handful of games of Machado. If it was a pitcher then yeah... I'll think about that but no not for less than half season of Machado. What would he being to the table? A few more times on base and a lot better defense? I don't see the needle moving much I agree with you but don’t think fo a minute Cash is not aware of the player’s shortcomings. Andu is not a Yankee type. Low OBP and terrible D.

Excellent write up on Andu by M Axisa at RAB. Makes a compelling case for trading him now. Discusses,in great detail, the defensive metrics that show Andu to be the worst defensive 3b in BB as well as his offensive shortcomings(low OBP). “Glorified Sterling Castro” gosh....one would think he was a butcher at third, like Nunez, for example.....if he is the worst in baseball at 3B, there are some good fielders playing 3B these days...the past few years there has been a hole at 3B for the Yankees...….that is not the case any longer with Anndujar there...……… now, if some other team loves Andujar and offers a good pitcher in return, he is tradeable......but this is a special talent the Yankees have here, and we are lucky to have him...…….. why are you obsessed with pointing out the flaws of Andujar and ignoring the void at 1B?

www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/yankees-reportedly-emerge-as-suitors-for-manny-machado/ar-AAzP1Bf?li=BBnba9I&ocid=U147DHP Three, the Yankees are already set at shortstop with Didi Gregorius, while Miguel Andujar has played well at third. Rosenthal says the Yankees are in the mix for Machado now because they could offer a deep package of prospects, and because owner Peter Angelos might not be as involved as before, which could allow the team to send Machado to The Bronx. He also believes that Machado would be willing to move back to third base for the Yankees, who would then either deal Andujar or send him to the minors. STUPID BE STUPID!!! Machado is a Hissy Fit Egomaniac Type who insists he must play SS; yet is defense at SS is average. Plus he will cost us an Arm & an Leg in Prospects and than there is his huge salary. What if we trade for this Hissy Fit and he goes F/A at the end of the season? Whatif we had traded Andujar? I do not UNDERSTAND the HATE towards Andujar: He is doing a damn good job for his first season and he is CHEAP. I feel sorry for those of you that are HR Queens...HRS at any Cost. Stupid be Stupid. Why not sign/trade for Harper too and between the Two of them (Machado & Harper) they would WRECK all the team chemistry. I really do not understand most of you... Tequila wants to trade for Machado; but she is a Parrot and what do Parrot know?

Andujar walk rate is in line with Canos first couple seasons. Cano eventually improved...

Saw this on Bryan Hoch's twitter feed.
Jim Duquette's guess on what a Machado/Britton trade would look like. German, Frazier and Drury.

Saw this on Bryan Hoch's twitter feed. Jim Duquette's guess on what a Machado/Britton trade would look like. German, Frazier and Drury. Does it make sense to go after Machado for 2-3 months when the left side of the infield is playing well?...…...not to me..... Could the Yankees target be Britton, and in a case of mutual back-scratching, the Yankees feign interest to drive up the Manny price for Baltimore, and get a deal done for Britton?...……..that is one that makes sense......

No range. oh, I believe the numbers say he is the worst of the current 3B....you would not mis-lead about that....but, do you watch games? Your point is well taken. Just because he’s the worst of the lot doesn’t make him terrible in your eyes. The way I look at it is that he’s competing against the current group of 3b and if he’s the worst, the fact that he may pass the eye test doesn’t help me win games when he’s ketting in more runs than the opposing 3b

I saw a rare errant throw today, it was not wild, and almost on-target, but an error...…...his throws are generally good...I like what I've seen, although I don't have a good feel for his range....that said, he is not a statue out there, and the balls he gets to he generally plays well....

Bird didn’t help him on that throw. Could’ve come off the bag.

Let's be serious, if Cashman is willing to include Andujar in trades, there would be plenty of takers.
