Sinker misses high on the corner away, but that's now a "strike" too, I guess. Rortvedt hopped up and down a bit, he doesn't need calls like that when batting. Sinker near middle fouled, 0-2 Back leg slider taken, 1-2 Sinker misses up and away, 2-2 Slider down and in, Rortvedt checks in time, 3-2 Sinker outer half, fouled off. Same sinker same spot same result.
Oh, yeah, he's throwing "strikes" Flats. With normal K zone, he'd have walked two guys already this inning.

Sorry I did exactly that after my afternoon ice cream.
What happened? I saw 4-2 on the scoreboard a little while ago. I guess Dennis Santana happened. ice cream, that's a good idea! Always a good idea! Before dinner, at 3am, on a lazy afternoon, for breakfast, you can't go wrong with ice cream!

thru 8. It's a combined no hitter, as Fried was pulled after 7.

Love the weekends when Chi and Rizz are able to be here. Kaybli hit the snooze button again, I guess… Sorry I did exactly that after my afternoon ice cream.
What happened? I saw 4-2 on the scoreboard a little while ago. I guess Dennis Santana happened. Some really good Rays hitters did some damage… as it’s been all day… Diaz, Randy “Muscles” Arozarena… bad starts don’t make bad players. They make dangerous opponents because they’re overdue to find their timing…

Siri... slider into the top of the zone, 0-1 Sinker at the top outer half, fouled, 0-2 Sinker outside letter high, spoiled Sidearm slider misses by oh, about 2 feet low/away, 1-2. Even Siri doesn't chase that one. Slider missed up and in, 2-2 Sinker outside, chased and spoiled. Sinker thigh high, inner 3rd, fouled down.
Hey, Jeff, maybe it isn't that Tonkin doesn't pitch inside enough. Maybe, and here me out just a moment here, maybe he's just a AAA pitcher.
Slider in the zone low/away, foul tipped into the mitt, inning over.
Top 9, Yanks down 7-2, and Rizzo, Torres and Trevino will face Fairbanks.
It's a low leverage spot, but by using the pinch-hitters in the 7th, Boone has no lefty options to use here.

thru 8. It's a combined no hitter, as Fried was pulled after 7. When the starter leaves the game in a no-hitter, it becomes a second level story…

Fairbanks at one time was closing for the Rays, now trying to make his way back from injury.

Rizzo falls behind Fairbanks 1-2... Slider stays near middle, middle, lined hard down 1st but right to Diaz, who staggers back a bit but holds.

Fb low/away, ball 1 Slider low/away ball 2 on Torres. FB misses high above middle, but the ump gives a "it's 7-2 in the 9th" call, 2-1 FB outside near the top at 98, 3-1 Fb just outside, Torres fouls it, 3-2 FB clearly in the zone down and in at 98, and Torres...just...watches...it...go by. ꓘ, 2 down.

Trevino rolls over on a 1st pitch FB inner half, knee high, grounds it to short, Caballero backhands and throws him out, Game over. Yanks lose 7-2, fall back to 11 over at 26-15, reaching the quarter pole on the season on pace to win 103 games, but they're just 14-12 in their last 26 games.
