The rubber game against the Rays is tomorrow at 1:40 pm on YES, Luis Gil vs. Tyler Alexander. Gonna check my notifications now... Even better yet here at 11:40… if you’ve never lived out west this is a really sweet time. A bit of time to do a thing or two in the morning (unless you have insomnia) and still some nice daylight out side after the game…

Was running a kids golf event so I missed the game. Saw some highlights, looked like we were a tad sloppy today. Sounds cool, 1955! Hope you and the kids had a good time!

missed the game as well. was dealing w these bad boys. ginormous!!! got home in time to see the rays blow it open and promptly moved on to transplanting some ramps down by my stream. looks like it was one of those frustrating games.

I used to Coach and now sometimes help out in a Program called Operation 36. It's well designed program with structured but fun learning plans. We also host events where kids progress through different levels. They start by playing 9 holes from 25 yards off the green. Once they shoot 36 they move to the next level 50 yards. Six levels 25,50,100,150, 200, White tees. About 75 students in our program from ages 6 to 16. I had 50 players in the event yesterday with at least 1 player playing from each yardage. What's cool is their parents and friends come to watch and we announce them at the first tee like a PGA event.

definitely a frustrating game where once again the offense was m.i.a. cortes wasn't particularly sharp. his stuff was down. apparently he's ok. says his mechanics were off a bit.
volpe was the entire offense w 3 hits and both ribbys. soto in the midst of his 1st slump. 0-10. verdugo 0-16. and after looking maybe he was getting on a bit of a roll, torres 1-15 and given a mental health day. just can't seem to get it going. not good in his walk year.
not that it would have mattered but thought there was a slight let up by grisham on that ball hit over his head by diaz in the 7th.
hopefully gil who's coming off his 2 best career starts (12.1 innings w only 3 hits allowed) can be the stopper.

Talk about feeling old, one of my 7 year old boys was dressed in red and black. I commented to him that he looked just like Tiger Woods and of course he responded by saying "who's he"?

Poor base running by Grisham, can't blame Volpe for that one. Grisham might have ran the Yankees out of a big inning with Soto due up. Plus, poor pitching and poor hitting usually never adds up to a win.

Looked like he also misplayed a ball in CF but I didn't get a good look. Maybe suffering from a lack of PT.
