Cabrera takes a FB up and away, 1-0 Then is late and under a FB inside of middle, pops to left, easy play for Kiriloff, 2 down.

Volpe... Sinker outside 1-0 Swings over a change below the zone, 1-1 Swings wildly and misses a FB near middle, 1-2 Chases a slider bounced outside of the K. A Stantonian effort. Volpe pointing at the ball to say it bounced, but unless he tipped it, he's out because he made no effort to go to 1st, so Jeffers doesn't even have to tag him. Inning over.

Very easy 9 pitch 1-2-3 for Lopez, who may have locked in now. 64 through 4.
Correa, Castro and Santana for the Twins in the 4th.

Chili Davis for the Name that Yankee. Had to look that one up. Correa works the count to 2-2, then gets a slider below the knees, and knocks it back up the middle for a leadoff single, and Stroman is right back in the soup.

Sinker just outside, called a strike anyway. The scary thing about how Stroman is pitching is that they're hitting him pretty well, and he's gotten 5 or 6 favorable calls from this ump. Sinker outside, 1-1 Cutter near middle, Castro misses late and under, flies to Verdugo in left center, 1 down. Correa holds.

Santana... Splitter in the zone down and in, taken, 0-1 Slurve outside, 1-1 Cutter misses the low inside corner by an inch or two, called strike 2 anyway. Another one in Stroman's favor. Wow.

Santana didn't like that call... Bounced slurve 2-2 Cutter misses by enough down and in to not get a favorable call, 3-2 Slurve gets a small piece of the low outside corner, but Santana goes with it. His high fly to medium deep left center is tracked down in the gap by Verdugo, 2 down. Correa holds again.

Sinker into the top of the zone, inner 3rd, 0-1 Mistake with a cutter just inside and above middle, but Kiriloff misses, fouls it off, 0-2 Slurve just below and outside middle, hit pretty hard to center but Judge runs a bit to his left to catch the fliner, inning over.
I have no idea how Stroman is getting away with this, but that's 4 shutout innings against their LH lineup, which has punished righties lately.
Top 5, 3-0 Yanks. 17 pitches for Stroman in the 4th, 68 through 4.
Soto, Judge and Verdugo for the Yanks in the 5th.

Soto works the count to 3-2, then fouls one off, before chases a FB out of the zone high for the K, 1 down.

This is like last night's game were it seems like the Yanks should have a bigger lead.
