Not a good start for Soroka walking the 9th batter. He got Trevino to pop up on the 1st pitch of the inning, lauren Sinker starts inner half dives to the corner thigh high, bounced foul, 2-1 Fouls off another sinker down and in but in the zone, 2-2 Sinker well below the zone, served inside out to the gap in right center, drops in for a hit, Berti easily gets to 3rd and Volpe hustles into 2nd with a double. 2nd and 3rd, 1 down for Soto. |

Maybe they'll pitch around Soto this time, but I doubt it as they're already down by 5.

Change low, 1-0 Change clips the outside corner, waist high, but Soto gets the Soto call. 2-0, but 20% on Gameday. Sinker waist high, outer 3rd, 2-1 Change misses low on the inside, 3-1 Sinker winds up right down the middle, and Soto hammers it out to right, solo HR ties the game at !!! Tommy John! He was more than a surgical technique. Back when I was heavily addicted to SOM, I left him in to bat with the bases loaded in an ALL-STAR game and the unthinkable happened. A Tommy John Grand Slam in a 17-9 AL victory… and he got the win despite giving g up a couple of runs in 3 innings… |

Slider outside, 1-0 Sinker near the top, fouled, 1-1 FB at the top, swung under, 1-2 Takes his timeout FB well outside, 2-2 Slider on the corner away, spoiled foul Slider backs up high, 3-2 Hanging slider up and in, he jumps all over it, hits a screaming liner toward the corner in left, it climbs over the wall into the small LF porch section for a solo HR, 3-1 Yanks!!!
