Torres misses a waist high sinker outer 3rd then swings under another at the top of the zone in the middle, 0-2 Sinker inside, 1-2 Sinker further inside, 2-2 Sinker outside, 3-2 Sinker outside middle, hit high and deep to left center, Rodriguez takes the right route, makes it look easy on the edge of the track, 1 down.

Kay just said the Yankee bullpen has been used a lot, but I'm pretty sure Yankee starters are among the league leaders in innings pitched. Last couple of days all the guys down there have been used, and Holmes had pitched three days in four before getting yesterday off. And some of that is bad management. For instance, after Weaver threw 6 pitches in 8th inning Monday night, he could have finished the game and given Holmes the night off but managers just can't get past the silly 3 run save rule.

Yup exactly.

Slider outside to Wells, 1-0 Slider inside, 2-0 Takes a sinker in a hittable spot, waist high, inner 3rd, 2-1. Let a cookie go by in a hitter's count, Austin. Sinker outside corner waist high, taken again, 2-2 Pulls off a slider thigh high, outside middle for the K. 2 down.

Cabrera chases a change tailing low/away 0-1 Takes a FB up in the zone inside middle, 0-2 Chases the bad pitch, take the good one. Change in the same spot as the first, but he lunges and spoils Back leg slider way inside makes him jackknife out of there, 1-2 Flies open, FB misses well up and away, 2-2 Change well low near the inside corner, Cabrera lays off, from 0-2 to 3-2. Sinker 3-4 inches outside, thigh high, chases and fouls, still 3-2, that was ball 4, Oswaldo. Ok, flies way open again, and the FB is way out of the zone, so even Oswaldo can take it for ball 4. 1st and 2nd, 2 down for Volpe.

Cody Bolton, a righty, comes in to relieve Snead and face Volpe. Bolton, FB 95 (35%), Cutter 89 (32%), slider 83-4 (23%) and change 90-1 (10%)
