Slider bounced over home, 2-1
Swings over a slider that wound up outer 3rd, just below the knees, 2-2
Slider drops sharply into the happy zone down and in, but Wells can't adjust and swings over, K, 2 down.

Also when a first baseman becomes the second baseman because the second baseman you traded for isn’t a real secon baseman. It’s only a side note but the shortstop you signed had to be moved to second base because he wasnt that good at shortstop, and this was a couple years after you moved your short stop to right field because he wasn’t all that good at shortstop. Got all of that? 🤓… It all worked because Tatis won a gold glove in RF and Kim is a good SS. Except for that 2B/1B thingy they have now… |

Change way low to Cabrera, 1-0
Slider outside, 2-0
Slider to the knees near middle, and Cabrera was ready for it, hammers it to the right of 2nd for a 2 out single.

1st and 3rd, 2 outs for Soto, and the Padres will bring Japanese import lefty Yuki Matsui in to face Soto.
I like Volpe Ver. 2.0 a lot better than last year's model.

He throws FB, slider and curve, but his key pitch is a splitter that he throws the most of any of his pitches

Splitter misses the inside corner at the knees, taken, but called a strike anyway. 0% on Gameday, missed by an inch or two.
To be honest, the hitter's have no idea where the strike zone is, and neither do I
Splitter up and in, hit sharply to the right side, but Cronenworth backhands, and throws Soto out to kill the rally and end the inning.
Bottom 7, 4-0 Yanks.
Peralta, Merrill and Campusano for the Padres.
I think Stroman starts this inning, don't think he finishes, unless it's a quick 1-2-3.
