I'm hoping that was them just giving Santana one more shot to prove himself during a game that was essentially in hand. Not sure why a second inning was necessary, though. DFA, plz.

Slider in the middle taken, 0-1 on Volpe
Fb waist high, outer 3rd, goes the other way with it beutifully, lines it over first into the RF corner, Margot recovers, but Volpe running all the way, gets himself a 2 out triple, the ball gets away, he starts home then barely gets back in time as they throw behind him.
Man on 3rd, 2 down for Soto.

Slider flops into a tiny piece of the zone up and in, Soto pulls it foul, 2-2
Slider inside middle, and Soto takes a big rip and somehow misses UNDER it for the K, inning over.

Sinker runs inside, Lewis swings as it nearly hits him, shatteres his bat, rolls it to the left of the mound, Tonkin runs to get it, fires it in a hurry, offline to the home plate side, but Rizzo makes a great stretch to save the error and get the first out.
