boone comes to get poteet. bummed he couldn't get one more out. 4 2/3 and only 2 hits against the mighty dodgers. just a great outing. hopefully gonzo can handle ohtni.

And that's it for Poteet, good game, but Boone isn't going to roll the dice by giving Ohtani a 3rd shot at Poteet with a chance to break the game open.
Gonzalez in to face Ohtani.
Dodgers should know both Gonzalez and Ferguston; they both pitched for LA the last 3 season.

Good man! He didn't give him the sinker. Threw the slider in the same spot and made Ohtani early and on top of it and pulls it sharply right to Rizzo, who takes it to the bag, inning over.
Bottom 5, 0-0.
7-8-9 for the Yanks in the 5th, LeMahieu, Trevino and Grisham.

Nope, slider low and away but still in the zone, fouled. Good two plane break on the slider awas well.
FB up and in ties up LeMahieu, he pops to shortish right, Heyward playing toward the line, moves a step or two, catches, 1 down

Takes his time out.
Lunges for a splitter diving out of the zone, low/away, taps it past the mound, Lux fields on the right side of 2nd, throws him out, 2 down.
