I haven't looked it up, but according to someone on the pregame on WFAN, Rice has a terrible lefty split, which raised the possibility that he would be platooned with DJL against LHP. I wonder if Cabrera PH's here? Not this year. In the minors Rice was hitting .293/.344/.552 against lefties. Last year it was .217/.329/.317 though. |

Cutter in the zone up and in, popped near 2nd, Gleyber dodges the runner coming in running on contact with 2 down, catches near the bag, inning over.
I must admit, Nestor has done a great job so far tonight, and I have no idea how. So many pitches in and around the middle, not hammered.
Bottom 5, 3-0 Yanks.

Fb up and in at 94, Torres throws his hands up to defend himself, hits HIM on the left hand, and Torres is in a lot of pain.

FB well outside, waist high, 1-0 on Wells
Swings way over a bounced slider, gets away from McCann, Torres to 2nd on a WP. 1-1
FB down the middle, and Wells hits it fairly sharply, but it's a grounder back of 2nd, Henderson is there, throws out Wells as Torres gets to 3rd with 1 down.
