Once they have a lead, Baltimore sure doesn't take their foot off the accelerator. The difference between the lineups is that the O's have real threats up and down the order. The Yanks at a disadvantage from 6 through 9.

This series proves one thing. No matter how well the Yankees play the rest of the season they won't be going to the WS. They are not as good a team was the Orioles. Simple as that....

Gil's ERA went from 2.03 to 2.77 in one game. Lefty Akin into the game for the O's.

This season is reminding me of 2022. Great start, then the look of a totally different team following injuries. That’s the feel I’ve been getting. Once you’ve see it, you recognize it the second time. It 2022 we thought it was “impossible”, but know we know better…

Strange stuff happens, they almost certainly won't matchup with them first round in the postseason, assuming the Yanks don't collapse. Another team might knock off the O's, but I don't think so, they're too complete a team. But the O's are clearly the better team.

Volpe... FB up and away, ball 1 Slider well outside called strike 1; not as bad as some other calls today, but still a bad one, 1-1 Fb up and away, ball 2 Slider gets a piece of the high outside corner taken, 2-2 Swings over a FB low in the zone, K, 2 down.

Soto...slider low in the middle ball 1 FB outer 3rd, fouled off. Slider in the zone above and inside middle, rolled over to Westburg, throws him out, inning over.
Easy 1-2-3 a the Yanks run up the white flag after the Hays HR. Top 8, 14-5, O's
Top of the order: Henderson, Rutschman and Mountcastle. Ferguson will throw the 8th, and (player) will throw the 9th.

Leave work, get home and they've given up 3 more. This bullpen is so bad...

Judge will not bat in the 8th, Grisham in. Soto is out as well, Jones in for him.
Henderson grounds it sharply to the left of 2nd, Volpe gloves it, turns, sets and throws a bit offline, but Rice saves it with a good stretch, 1 down.

I missed the last few innings, can anyone tell me why Gleyber left the game?

FB down the middle for a strike to Mountcastle. FB in the zone, inside and below middle, inside outer to the corner in right for a double. 2nd and 3rd, 1 down.
STOP already with the 5 of 6 close games. Both blowouts go to the O's. They're rubbing it in now. O'Hearn takes a slurve for a strike, jumps on the slurve low, lines it to right for a 2 run single, 16-5. Hit some more of them, Yankees pitchers. That'll work.

Dunno...I think they're as close to a "lock" for at least a Wild Card as can be...then anything can happen in short series. That said...I said 2 years ago that O's would be the team to beat in the AL East, and likely the entire AL, for many years. Young, homegrown players...the way it should be.
